histerys of vanadil a SE E-book?

this was brot up in another topic in a round about way but i felt it should hav it's own topic and maybe if anuf of us talk about se will do it.

a SE made E-book that gives explanes the history of vanadel

includes the AF quest story lines

the expansion story's and other myths and law

i my self would be wiling to pay $10 for sum thing like that
they could even let you use Crista if they want and or let you add it on to your bill for a month.

what do you all think?

Didn't they put some NPC in WoW that explains all the lore? I wouldn't know, I wouldn't touch (x) easy mode games..... oops...

They could come out with an NPC that does the same thing. Or, they could put something on their website. But seriously, I wouldn't pay real money for this. If SE put out something that details the myths of this world, I'd read it. It promotes they're game... I'm not paying for it.

Good idea! Think of all the superfluous stuff that came out of Lord of the Rings (the books!!!) with maps and spinoffs. Superfluous might be the wrong word but you get the idea. Back story and spinoffs never hurt.

Can't see SE putting time/money in to writing it though so maybe if they throw it out to fans via a creative writing competition?? Tales from the crystal wars etc.

The info is out there, but yeah I really enjoy reading the stories from SE direct/seeing concept art and stuff. Unfortunately the want for this is probably not as much as it should be- the Vana d'iel Tribune was always highly under-appreciated.

I wouldn't mind this at all since I love reading. Beautiful illustrations of major and minor in-game characters would be lovely. Pictures of Faffy, Bahamut, Ouryu, even Guivre! Yes please!

There's a few books like this in Japanese. An Ultimania with the quests and story, and a couple World Concept type of books with lots of backstory and concept art. Those came out a while ago and I'm pretty sure they're out of print. Would be nice if they released them in some form or other, with English etc.

Part of the backstory can be found here and there on the official site though (such as the Vana'diel Tribune).
