Captain Rank items

Its bothered me for the longest time as to why there's never really been any Captain rank items to buy from the Sanction NPC. While free runic portal access may seem to be the trade-off for this, a crazy idea came to mind. What if the FFXI Development team added weapons that, much like the Campaign Battle weapons, granted use of the Serpent General's exclusive weapon skills in Besieged? This has made a comeback recently all thanks to the previous update. And deep down, you all know you've wanted to use those weapon skills... Just like the Campaign weapon skills!

Mostly wondering if any other players would be interested in this idea.

Besieged, however, now shoves IS up any hole that will take it.

I used up all my IS back when gil was actually really useful.

That being said it would get besieged attention again, if the items were good.

Yeah I go on PLD and get 15000 EXP and like 5kish IS a fight. Not that hard to get anymore. :p

I figured since Captain is "kinda" hard to get compared to Medal of Atlana, they'd get like 80% Stat MOD or something.

True Captain is slightly "harder" to do because of the wait between tags, getting help to even enter the assaults, and the need to complete the ToAU storyline. Medal of Altana can be soloed, just takes time but no need to complete the actual storyline.
