View Full Version : Carabosse & Benediction

Hi,
An LS member mentioned this just happened to them so I thought I would post this as I (along with many others) have experienced this in the past:
Ever since introducing an extra 2x pop markers for Carabosse, after previously only having 1 - it has become apparent that when 2x separate groups (alliance/parties) are fighting Carabosse next to each other, when either one uses Benediction it causes the other to recover full HP also.
Of course the simple solution to this is not to fight next to another group fighting her (which is what myself and my fellow Empyrean Static do), however I assumed that this was not intended by the dev team. I have experienced this a couple of times and believe it can be quite frustrating when other parties / alliances are able to heal your Carabosse.
*edit* I did not include the usual default template with my system information etc as I don't see it as required, as this bug is regarding a game mechanic and not a specific computer issue.

They're going to ask you to fill it out any way, may as well go ahead and do it.

Greetings Alderin!
Thank you for taking the time to report this concern for us! I would be more then happy to submit this for you, however, I would like to ask that you please give us some additional information on this matter. Please fill out as much as you're able from the following template for us. Upon receipt, we will submit this for review for you! Although it may seem as though this template is not necessary as it requests information related to your character specifically, however, the information you give might help find the exact cause as to why an issue may be happening.
As this may very well be the way this is supposed to work, I would suggest leaving feedback on this concern as well. This can be done at the following link under Contact then Suggestions & Feedback -

Thank you for your time and apologies for any inconvenience!

I also think it's working as intended since Fairies have been known to cure each other and the Benediction for players is an AoE as well, so it makes sense...

Steps:
1. 2-3x seperate alliances pop & fight Carabosse within proximity of each other.
2. Once 1x Carabosse uses 2hr Benediction, it also heals the other claimed to a seperate alliance.

I won't speak for the dev team but to be honest I doubt it.
Another alliance / party should not be able to heal / damage / interact with a monster claimed to your alliance / party.
I would agree if normal pixies linked, however I believe it would have been a typical rush job without testing to get the update with multi-??? pops in order.

No, it's working as intended. Beneficial aoe effects cast by mobs have always hit all mobs in range, and Benediction is notorious for this effect due to waking up a whole mess of sleeping mobs in dynamis.
