I, as well as several others, are seeing that we were charged twice the normal amount on our bank statements without warning.

This whole payment thing SE has going is becoming more and more BS.

Money is already tight, and now I have to refigure my bills and put off paying one b/c SE took twice the normal amount...

SE needs to quit using BS 3rd party billing systems that jus end up screwing everyone over. POL was annoying but at least they didnt openly screw us. and beacause u were double charged now they were charge u a fee to return your money

I havent even set up that new shit yet. I'm still using the old method... Nothing has changed with my billing process in the past 7 years...

i dunno what to say then man, all i know is this new billing crap is screwing up a ton of ppl. myself and a few others that i know cant even get on the game because of this

They've been doing this here and there for a long time, maybe they are gonna try overcharge everyone on this last payment before handing it over to click and buy to handle.

The day you make your transfer to the new system, they are re-charging you as if you're starting fresh - regardless if you already paid 1, 2, or 7 days prior. I saw this today and plan to contact them and give them a few (hundred) sharp words.

To the Admin staff: really? didnt you guys test this in any way/shape/form?

I hadn't even touched the transfer yet...just my normal account got charged ONE fee that was double the normal...it's not like it got run through twice... it was set up as a double payment...

Yep fined by Square enix and this new click and buy. I discontinued my content ID and reactivated it today. I got charged by Click and buy and square enix for the month amount. As well as i was charged double last month for something. IF this keeps up, I'm out.

You should be able to find all the possible contact info from the Support Centre, including the Chat Support.


Click the SQUARE ENIX logo on the top-left.
Select Region and Language.
Upper-right area, click on SUPPORT.
Click on FINAL FANTASY XI.
Click on CONTACT from the right-hand area.
Below Customer Service, click on GET SUPPORT, and select the appropriate categories.

LOL at the title of this thread. Not sure what the game developers are gonna do about double billing hahaha.

On a more serious note.. it is quite annoying all this account confusion. I think the # of subscriptions will take a substantial hit unfortunately. I was optimistic at 1st about this transfer because my content ID had been cancelled 6 out of the last 8 billing cycles. Was hoping this switch would alleviate some of the nonsense. Oh well.

So I finally got someone on the phone they gave back all the money they charged for July never took the money out for that month and double charged this month to make up for last month...... without giving us notice for this

I sent an email to support last night. I had 3 accounts active in July, all 3 were billed normally, but then one of them was cancelled in error. I reactivated after reentering my payment information, and that account was now double billed. We did not get a refund for the July billing. First time I've ever been double billed by SE, and apparently the last because I have no way to pay for my accounts anymore using the new system >.>.
