Hey Me again!
Bards get Pianissimo to limit their song to one person, why not give COR a JA Called something like "Single Shooter" to do the same thing for rolls? I understand this could/would break cor because of the whole double up chance and busting and what not. But if its the same as pianissimo It would be worth it if it hit the cor and that one other person you select.
What do you guys think?
Too Broken?
Too Stupid?
I'd love to hear some feedback on this.

The recast on rolls would make this ability pointless unless they were to reduce the recast of rolls to 10 seconds or put them all on separate timers or something. Also as a cor I dont want to be spending the majority of my time lining up specific people for very specific rolls when most the time the same rolls I am putting up are good enough for all the jobs.

eh my thought was giving the DDs Hunter's and Chaos Roll and tossing a PLD or BLU Evoker's Roll
*edit* but I understand what you are saying, it would be a bit of a pain but it also allows for that flexibility if needed

I'd love a Tenuto for Cor, personally. As is, it's generally my tendency in casual play to tell other DDs to go to hell and just roll my 2 rolls so I can fulltime awesome damagez.

Don't pull an Alhanelem. Can't really help it if it's already here. Though I agree wholeheartedly when it comes to creating new threads.

People should realize that when we have 5 FFFFPAYMENTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF threads on the main page and 3 different job threads that the Mod's have the day off... things need to be moved and it should be said when they are in the incorrect place.

I take one look at GD right now and go right back to English Forums. Mods are probably doing something similar, dreading having to delve into the absolute craphole that the front page has turned into. That doesn't mean anyone needs to backseat mod. The real mods will either get to it or they won't. Nothing any regular poster can do in the meantime but wait it out.

I can't really find a use for this that wouldn't hurt me more than it would help as COR. Or at least I can't think of a situation where I would need this but would take a COR over a BRD.
COR is overpowered in my opinion. The main problem is that it's just greatly under-appreciated because nearly anyone pre or post abyssea play it (in comparison to other jobs). COR doesn't need to ape BRD to be effective, in fact, COR shouldn't be used in the same manner as BRD (pure support) as it subtracts so much from it's versatility and worth in parties.
Sure, what I just said is a tad off-topic, I may even be ranting about how much I hate people who played/play COR like its a BRD with a gun, however, what I just said is relevant in the sense that I cannot agree with ideas that turn COR into a BRD with a gun nor enable such people who play it that way. Also, yes that was a run-on sentence (because part of it is a rant).
Aside from my personal feelings regarding COR getting more BRD-like abilities, the practical application of such an ability on COR doesn't seem likely. I'm not sure why I would want to waste a recast timer (despite gear/merits) on a roll for just one person. I would like to see some type of ability to turn Quick Draw into a conal or area of effect based attack though, as overpowered as that might sound. Off-Topic again, I know but I could always bring up the ridiculousness that was giving a Treasure Hunter ability to Ranger (Bounty Shot), instead of Corsair, where it would've made way more sense.

so if you play cor in a merit-like PT you don't Ev roll the healer(and whatever other roll you could give him)? sinec evoker will only benefit him + evoker gimping you (replace a usefull roll+ might break ugga latent)
but instead of a pianissimo like ja i'd say a ja that make next roll not affecting the cor (so i can keep my I'm DDCOR rolls)

How about this... Tell the healer to back up, use rolls on him, then go to all the melees, use the usual 2 rolls.
Job complete!
I agree that we don't need a Pianissimo but a Tenuto would be a godsend.

What do Pre-Abyssea Bird Meripo parties have to do with it? Also, That's what Fold, Random Deal, Recast - Gear/Merits, and general planning a roll cycle are for. I'm not saying you shouldn't use evoker's on the mages but, I don't see how it's an issue at all, least not one that a BRD would be better suited for (and thus, why COR doesn't need to be more BRD-like, as thats one of BRD's niches).

What's an Alhanalem?
I didn't say anything, and I didn't have anything to say until I read your troll post which has no other value than to insult me. There is nothing wrong with anything anyone else has said in this thread.

Stop putting [DEV] in the title, guys. It's an allusion to that incredibly annoying tripe you post in nearly every single thread long after the point has been made and passed on. If people aren't going to listen the first time, they aren't going to listen the next hundred times so there's no point in backseat modding half the forum with useless one-liners that no one wants to read.

And when the Cor runs back to the mob, he's melee'ing/Shooting/Wildfiring/Slugging with Mage Rolls on for 33-50% of the time. Woosh much? The idea is that the Corsair does not receive the effect of the party's rolls, so that it can keep its personal buffs on while buffing other people. At least, that is my point. Tenuto would accomplish that a lot better than Pianissimo, though.

There is no backseat moderating. it's not a rule and it's not being broken, it just annoys the hell out of people (yes, people, I'm not the only one), and I have every right to speak up about something if it bothers me.

Well gee, that's a parallel I never thought to draw. That sort of waste-of-space one-line tripe annoys the hell out of people (yes, people, I'm not the only one), and I have every right to speak up about it if it bothers me. Herp.

If saying "Stop doing that really annoying thing that Alhanelem does" is a personal attack now, go for it.
Edit: On topic because this is really not worth an entire post, maybe the OP can clarify what exactly they wanted out of this new Corsair ability. What issue is it attempting to alleviate?
