I'm reading all these posts regarding job adjustments and billing prices and it hit me. We are all missing the big picture here. There is one question that pretty much everyone has thought at one time or another.
I wonder if we will get a cryptic reply that would be worse than no response at all...

actually the bigger point is they are no longer gonna use playonline. It will only be a launcher. If you guys didn't read, after the switch the pol friendslist is no longer useable. They haven't updated anything on pol. The new methods of payment are just part of the transfer.
If no one here tried ff14 out, you guys wouldn't know about the first anger fest with click and buy or crysta. Now no one complains about it. On ff14 we just waiting on updates till they ready to take payments. Pretty soon no one will complain about the payment methods.
SE isn't just doing this to screw yall over. They getting rid of playonline since it is worthless at this point.
What is ridiculous is all the petty childish fighting and name calling. Sorry but do not hate on other for trying to defuse the situation.

this is wrong, it is friendslist plus that will nolonger be available, the POL friendslist will still be usable

In other news I might actually pick that game up soon. Haven't played since beta and my new system is growing bored with FFXI's weak needs. I'll just end up doing what I did during beta - afk there and play FFXI but hey, at least whenever I switch back to it I can look at pretty stuff every hour or so, right? And dream of that FFXI graphical upgrade that will never be. Ahhh, yeah. Would breath such new life in this game with a high res option... /sigh.

it isn't because Rosina plays FFXIV. It's because of an ongoing issue with misinformed posts that have already been debunked prior to posting (sometimes recently in the same thread), challenging other's posts without supporting those challenges, little hypocritical things like insulting posters for insulting posters and then hopping to another thread and complaining that people are calling him/her names because he/she tried to call them down on said insults...basically, not a very respected poster at this point because of past behavior.

Also, ebon panels are obviously going to be used in a 20 minute timed event requiring you to run through and click them all to upgrade your relic/mythic/empyrean to 99 when the time comes.
I mean what else would they be used for?

Ever see National Treasure? Well instead of Nick Cage it's you and instead of Templar Treasure or w/e the hell it was in that stupid movie; instead the hidden treasure is unlocking direct CC billing for your account.
Also I call dibs on being the Sean Bean character even though he dies. Why? cuz it's Sean Bean.

(i played ffXIV when it went out and totally forget we needed C&B since we have never payed )
