This is General discussion, I don't feel we have enough "General discussion". Its suppose to be FFXI related, I think FFXI players and FFXI Reps are FFXI related right?

So, In the midst of all the upset-angst through recent changes, I feel i must ask hows everyone doing? Basically this thread might be cheasy, But i weclome players and reps alike to come post how they're feeling today, What they did in FFXI today, Maybe some achievements etc, or just discuss plans!

I'll start:

Did BCNM40 UO, like 7 times, Saw 1 Ni, 2 Refresh, 2 Erase, 1 Phalanx, and 1 Peacock charm. Was a good haul, But on my two runs all i got was Refresh >_> made 80k while some fella' walked off with about 2mil. Luck of the draw?!

Further beyond that, Still working on Mandau! 34/61 Jades, I could be done now if i wasn't so vehemently lazy. Doing Dynamis is a chore sometimes but it'll be worth it in the end.

The other day i Solo'd Campaign on RDM/DNC, Spirit's Within'd the Adamantking boss in rolanberry, was in my own union and got a 100 Byne bill, Thats was another step in the Direction of my Mandau <3

Pretty terrible. Got off the phone with SE Customer Service two hours ago and they couldn't unlink my SEID and POL ID. To make things worse, I will can't log into the game itself since I both canceled a mule's Content ID in the past month as well as bought two Abyssea expansions. Until this end-of-the-month maintenance, I can't play- and even after that, I won't be able to pay in US fees due to SE's roundabout way of being unable to personally delink IDs.

Going to see Harry Potter again in 15 minutes, hopefully that will relieve some of my stress. I beat Catherine the other night, but all I've wanted to do is play FFXI... and FFXI seems to want nothing to do with me, as per usual.

I gotta say I had a great FFXI day yesterday. Put together a pick-up group for head seals. Our BLM could not detect weaknesses, so drop rate was pretty bad. Before our final pop, a Japanese party rolled up and asked to <Team up?>. They wanted KI, not seals, so we joined forces. 3 kills later I have 5 SAM head seals (finishing my piece), our RDM finished hers, and 4 other seals went to the other members of my group. Way to save the day!

After that I joined a LS mate for a couple of NMs. Made 90k on a pop item and pulled in 2 SAM body seals. Not bad for a few hours at the end of the day :)

I didn't do any much game stuff yesterday. I finished up Sandy mission 1-1 through 1-3 so I could enter the Chateau, so I could finish "Lure of the Wildcat." This is for a mule, of course. Between cooking and fishing, I needed more storage for ingredients and finished products, not to mention another mule to sell stuff on, 7 slots on one characters is not enough! And the Bazaar system... if only somehow people could stand in certain areas, depending on what you want to sell.

I didn't do much because somehow putting time into getting combat, cooking or fishing skillups might not be a wise investment. It isn't a question of what I did do, it's a question of what I didn't do. I was scheduled give Voidwatch a try, not for the sake of the gear, but rather for the lolz. I didn't go. Game-wise, my honest answer is that I felt unmotivated. I'm falling into a malaise, but I'll be out of it in about a month, because SE will either change this, or they won't, so I'll be playing, or I won't. You'll either identify with this, or ridicule it with "QQ moar?"

First world problem? Definitely. There's bigger, real world issues out there. This is escapist entertainment, but the haven has become hostile.

Sorry Karbs, but it was needed catharsis. How did I feel and what did I do? well, asked and answered.

I'm mulling over where is the best place to finsh my fire magian staff (250 evil weapons.... :p ). Im also waiting for kingfury to finsh my signeture (getting alittle worryed that he hasn't posted in while). While feeling like an outcast here in the forums about how everyone is talking (or condeming from the looks of it) about the new payment method change...becuase unlike most of the people here I don't realy care about it. :/

Had set the alarm for 7am so I'd have a shot at Morbolger when window opened. Yawn! Waited over 2 hrs, it finally popped and I got my vine, hurray. Finished Brown Belt quest, started Black Belt quest and did everything up to the point where you need to trade Adamantoise Egg, which I'm still missing. Quite happy about all that, since the kings update I actually gave up on getting Black Belt, so hurray for knowing nice people! :D

Then afk for a long time.

Unintentionally piss off a thf that was in there and get slapped. Yay?
We pull the nm in the middle when he pops. Thf ranged attacks it once, we get it claimed properly. We get charmed and go for the thf. Thf runs, gets adds and dies. I go uncharmed and attack the nm. Oh wait! My friend is still charmed and is now hitting me, damn his accuracy!! I die and whatnot, but we get back on track again.

Bit later I pull a nin, and stupid blm on the grass in the middle links and FiragaIIIs me to death. I get back up, and Mijin Gakure on the mob my friend is fighting.

That was most certainly eventful. God i love Charmga in Dynamis Sandy... Its like Delkfutts tower all over again (If anyone remembers the RMT/Mass Farming in Upper Delkfutt when those 2 NMs became forced pop)

Log in -> Skill MNK's h2h and staff for a few hours... then seek - > back to skilling until I went to help friends with Koios, mandy NM & chariot drops... eventually getting will be getting my whm legs still today or so. Yesterday chariot finally dropped my orison earring!
Overall I'm enjoying the game very much lately. :)

Completed tons of Epic Quests on Dungeon Fighter Online.

Before that, I ended up beating the Shadow Lord on 5-2 by myself, wasn't sure what to expect but he's reltively easy.

Except, he stayed invincible for over 10 minutes and since i'm a Dancer and use melee attacks I had to resort to using steps to lower his magic defense while using Ninja magic attacks until he swapped back over.

Now i'm eating Hot wings and French fries, aww yeah.

Yesterday sucked. Tried skilling up in Zvhal Baileys [S] with a Soboro, but I killed them waaaay too fast. Very dissapointing since I bought like 20k in Retraces to get back after dying from TS monsters on the way to the baileys.

Today though, I finish WHM, DRK, and SAM +1 feet. 1 step closer to saying goodbye to Perle feet for WS sets FOREVER.

all in all a good day i suppose def feel good about helping said friend lvl his SAM the other day to lvl 45 while i PL'ed him. he never got far in this game's heyday (met too many jerks and got discouraged) but i think he's well on his way to beating G5 for his first time. Helped him get his first full set of AF (DNC) a few weeks ago as well.

Well he's played the game for many more years than I but like i said he just never got very far, so i guess in a way yea he is new. Unless of course you meant me ^^; which I am quite new started playing this past November so im approaching my 1 year anniversary in the coming months.

I woke up with no nightmares this time! :D So therefore it has already defaulted to a great day, ahaha. Going to help the linnkshell with Dynamis even though we won't get clears (and my taru needs all clears) and there's a seal shout I'd love to get my hands on. Ah well.

Edit: Oh yeah and before I went to bed, I met up with a friend's wife's new character and helped her a bit with the game. I helped her collect her subjob items, took her to Selbina, helped her locate the maps, then took her to Jeuno, bought her armor for her, and helped her get situated for the chocobo license quest. I also showed her how to use the auction house and how to cast lots on things in the treasure pool. :) Was fun showing the ropes to a new person, but I hope she didn't mind me helping her out so much.

I found a good way to collect +2's is to find a group doing Empyrean Weapons... it rains from the sky in those groups. its quite nice. i've finished quite a few misc. pieces for my "desolate" jobs i rarely play.

For instance, im 3/5 SMN+2, 5/5THF+2, 4/5WAR+2, 1/5PUP+2, 1/5MNK+2, 1/5BST+2, and 5/5+1 for quite a few jobs simply through Empyrean farming KI's and such.

I'm remarkably lazy or i'd probably have all my +1's finished..

This was yesterday.

Camped STD (you know who I mean ;P) with my friend to get our Bale Earrings. Thing is we went WHM + DRK. He was the DRK.

Getting slapped around down to 200 HP several times nearly gave him a heart attack. I told him to kite it when it started spamming, so he runs the opposite direction of me and out of cure range. Needless to say he died XP~ We got the strategy down after HPing...

Killed it 5 times, 2 blue procs. The 1st dropped without Blue Proc, the 1st PROC produced nothing but the GS. The last fight we got Blue and it dropped. Hurray. Oh yeah, when we killed it the 2nd time (yes still as whm and drk) it dropped a brown chest with 2 Sis Fragments in it XD

Also helped another friend on his BLM leg seals. He had gotten the +2 stones done before getting a single +1 seal... (blame sobek spam)

Today however, I am waiting for my trash 360 to read my disc and get the hell out of black screen so I can actually play ^^; It's been 30 minutes of perpetual black screen so far.

Solo'd some bastion on BLM to get enough points for my orion pantaloon's +1 and applied the seals for it. :) Also finally got my sorcerer's petasos... I wanted the hat so much. :)

Did Dynamis-Xarc yesterday!

We went in a bumpy start, on DRK, NIN, THF, DRG, RDM(Mule). Got 4/5 TE's, the nooblets (DRK, NIN, DRG) got ownt by the Eyeball TE in waves (DRG died first to Firaga III, DRK showed up later and died, NIN finally took it out)

It was hilarious, After we got the 4TH i went and pulled Duke Gomory, I hit Yellow "!!" which i thought Removed his 2hr like Red did.

I was wrong. He hundred fist's me and i immediately popped Perfect Dodge, I was sitting around ~200 HP when my friends finally recovered from their horrific incident of terror @ the eyeball. I lived, and we killed it, It dropps a L. Jadeshell too! Was soo happy for that.

Moved on to camp, and managed to rack up ~220 Currency not including the 100, Unfortunately at one point (due to a mule sleeper =.=a) we wiped to like 4-5 RNG/NINs spamming hecatomb wave, Even with that wipe we recovered and still walked away with ~320 currency in total toward my Mandau.

Earlier that day we did some sky for lulz.

Got up to Sky, trained like 5-6 Groundskeepers from Despot area, Killed them all, last one popped Despot! I tanked it on my gimp THF/DNC (lul) and we got 2 Stones!

We then moved on to Diorite farming for Gems of the west! We ended up farming 3 (one for each of us) and popping Ulli, Who dropped 2x Gems on the first, then we brought up a friend/mule to pop a second so another didnt go to waste.

he dropped 2x again! but the two turds we brought up already had one lol... So 1 did go to waste.

Either way we farmed up another Diorite and left with 2 Diriotes still in inventory to fight Byakko! On the way to Byakko we decided to try and pop Despot again.

Which was successful, and netted us 2 more Gem/stones w/e they were!

Anyway, Killed Byakko as RDM, WHM, NIN, THF! Was super easy as one could expect. First kill dropped 2 Seals, Zephyr, N.Hands, Haidate. (which went to the RDM who was the only one to not have one)

Second kill netted us 2 more seals, Shura legs, and another Nhands~

We blew up the Shura/ 1 nhand and all the seals into Scraps/Tatters which sold quickly, and we made a good buck off of it.

Plus we still have a few pops left over :O!

Since I retired my main, am just enjoying the heck out of playing on my gardening mule (THF 37 is highest atm) to see how far I can get without too much help. A friend ran me to the past (Bastok ftw) on Saturday, yes I could have done it alone but we had tons of fun on the way poking stuff. :) I even got a DNC testimony. I am ready to solo the Magicite Mission, got DNC unlocked, Ninjutsu and Katana capped and I am excited about doing Campaign Ops. Did 2 already so I have a whopping total of 1025 AN. I won't have to put up with snooty nosed Alfred taking my medal, that alone makes my day. /cheer! This time it's Annabelle I think or something like that. I have done all my own NIN scroll quests except one which I made a silly mistake on. I bought the Rusty Subs and forgot I had them, then bought the scroll, then it dawned on me............did the quest now I have the scroll up for sale. One of my trees harvested this morning for 2 tree saplings = happiness. I grow those for Reishi mushrooms which sell quite well and I sold a stack of Somber memories which I farm.

Granted, everything is sooooo much easier the second time around, but still, I had enormous fun. :)

Hume:
Wasted a lot of time shouting and listning for shouts for BLU feet seals. Spent a lot of time trying to explain why Phalanx 1 > 2 and how to prove it. (No one cared, just wanted to to tell me "nu uh".)

Retired BLM because everyone wants me to use it but no one wants to help me gear it. (Just like RDM on my Hume.) SMN is in fine shape, though. Used it to solo the Assuran Fists NM for my Mithra. No luck finding a PT to get SCH up this week.

Worked on Merrits. Got Assuran Fists. (First WS I was glad I spent the time unlocking.) Got a couple hundred WSs in to my Store TP trial hands. Added a lot of "solo moar n00b" entries to blacklist because of my bazzar comment. "You think I need better gear? Why Don't you help me get it?"

Got SAM to 30. Got 4 more jobs I plan to get from 20+ to 30 so they're ready to leech in abyssea. Gave up on spiral hell because I get the feeling I'm going to be using guillotine all the time anyway. This guy is going on the back burner for a while. I'd like to finish my Mithra's merrits before the next level cap increase.

Yesterday my group decided to go have fun with Salvage, was just 4 of us, were going NIN, MNK, THF, WHM.

Well i was the last one to show up, and I get there, they go in, except I'm not in the party... i was the MNK. Now i get to watch them do it :(. (we live like 2 houses away we were all together in the same room when this happened).

So they actually got up to the final floor and Chariot boss without me. I think they got the Chariot to ~30% before they timed out (It was the Brainjack one). After that we decided to go venture into (S) Era, Cleared the Orc box NMs, which are still a pain in the ass. Going to do the ORC (S) Bcnm thing sometime today I think too, and also try Salvage again.

Hopefully with me in the party this time.

Last night we redid the fly and that darn blob to get better voidwatch temp items. Then we beat up voidnaught for a while (but no awesome bodies T.T just lots of strendu rings on mules and not mains -_-;;; ). Afterward I bought a leafbell :3 and cheered on Uka Whatshername til I got a yukata. Today I'm going to get mats for a celestial globe since it's free day in the shell and I'm home before midnight for once T.T.

Finally finished +2 legs for SCH and PUP, tried to duo WotG bastok Quest "Fire in a Hole" with a friend, and we failed (SCH + BLU, everything went ok until the third wave when the NPc starts running instead of stopping and sheep song didn't get enough quadavs), and did a pair of Draguas for the first time since I joined a shout group long ago. Instead of being a support healer/proccer I was this time with my LS, and damn, the wyrm is tough. Killed it twice without much truble, but needed 2 WHM healing and a MNK + WAR (me) hitting to make a decent progress. Also made some progress in my ice magian staff, but stopped in the trial that gets you the first +ice affinity... I'll return at 95, when I have Blizz V.

I hope this weekend I finish my +2 SCH body and my +2 WAR legs. actually, WAR legs are pretty much granted, only need one more stone.

I have enough cruor for one Brew and I'm not sure how to use it. >.>

Alfard: My WAR really needs a good weapon, Widowmaker would fix that. It's just that I don't use WAR much outside of proc'ing when needed- maybe that would change though?

Isgebind: Got a Twilight Knife for my THF a little while back, I want a Triplus Dagger to complement it and push my THF a little further into relevance. I feel like THF is something I should be working on because it's so useful for what I tend to do (low-man).

I'm also sitting on an Albion for DRK that's been itching to upgrade into a Caladbolg for a long time. I only have like 6 Gems and 11 Lanterns at the moment. Problem is, I'd have to get people to hold KI's so I could brew multiple down at a time. This might be the best option for me because~

I need tons of +2 stuff. I have like 7 jobs with 4/5 or 5/5 +1 Empyrean armor and I believe just two +2 pieces across the board.

Selzak - if you really have to use that brew on one of the above nms, I'd brew Alfard. That GA is the best non-ukkos at the moment and will make a difference as far as your war goes.

Wouldn't brew Isgebind. Check around, lots of people are upgrading their Masamune/Caladbolg/Armageddon, they tend to do multiple NMs and very often the blu sword and the dagger end up being floored. At least that was the case for me when I did Isgebind for my Masamune.

Personally I wouldn't brew Carabosse either. If you have to, shout for people and let +2 items be free lot.

But that's just my opinion though.
