... You were looking at the same fees in the $?

The EU Community asks for help from the US Community!

We are Looking at:

This Site for US:

http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/envi/charge.html

And this Site for EU:

http://www.playonline.com/ff11eu/envi/charge.html

So 1 $ is treated as 1€

So now for the maths!

1 $ is roughtly 0.70 € Cent ~ Rounded

So where an NA($) Costumer Pays 12.95$ an EU(€) Costumer pays 18,61$

So we got 5.66$ diffrence !

Now lets take that for a Year!

5.66 * 12 = 67.92 ~

So if you were to pay 67$ MORE per Year would you do that?
Or would call SE insane?

Would you pay this considdering someone in another Country gets the same Service WAY Charper?

Nothing new about Europe > America when it comes to pricing, been like that every day you've played the game so far, nothing new to bitch about here.

Always wondered why I have to pay more than USA players(dunno compared to JP).
Conversion must be hard for SE.

back when i started playing you could choose to pay in $ (EU FF of course, not sure if we could pay in €)
haven(t change paying since then (yes i still pay in $)
(my bank charge something like 1€ for out of Eu zone payment, but that is still way cheaper than paying in €..)
Now i'm forced to change and pay in €.
that's something new to bitch about.

Good. America gets screwed over during every maintenance, it's always on our busy hour.. We deserve to pay less.

/This is a joke, btw..

Everything is more expensive in europe, what else is new? Stop acting as if it's some kind of conspiracy, or something new. Go on steam- Games that sell for $50 sell for 50 euros even though the euro is more valuable.

that's something new to bitch about. Not really, because you were supposed to be paying in euros to begin with. Everyone who imported the game before its EU release should be thankful they got a deal for so long. Not saying it's "fair" or anything, just going by the rules.

Fact is though, the JP have it worse off, as they pay the highest subscription price...

On the other hand, they are used paying like 50 dollars per porn game that lasts 8 hours. One usually wonders where they get all their money from. Then again they seem to have unlimited part time jobs if I can believe anime.

Isn't this true of most/all video games?

There could be something to that, like costs on their end...but I'm not sure and I'd be irritated too.

Japanese Fees:
http://www.playonline.com/ff11/envi/charge.html

1,180円 are ACTUALLY 10.6 € and 15.2 $
(Eu Price 12.95€)

So yea proven u wrong right there.

European Fees are Highest.

We go the Maintances too.

ON TOP when they released the Game in EU they would charge $.
After a while they swiched to € resulting in about a ~30% -40% Price increase, for the same Service.

It's quite simple: the cost of doing business in the EU is higher than in the US. If you don't like it, complain to your MEP.

Congraz on the most weird comment ever.
You can't find FFXi in normal Shops so there ain't no Buisness. (Outside Online)

If the base Game is more expensive though yes thats fine.

If its a Pay-to-Play though there is no reson to charge someone more or less for the Same Services. (Not even the Same cause we had the Maints for Years)

Honestly if SE would tell u they would charge 18$ now you'd quit.

You know what at least EU players can Pay over C&B with giveing em CC info.

OH AND the contract we singed on relese was $ NOT € .
And they did not nocie on on swiching to €.

Im not complaing thu IM ASKING IF YOU WOULD PAY UP.

Before commenting on anything Read it.

If there is an exchange of money, there is business. And just because it's "online" doesn't mean it's free of legal obligations (e.g. taxes).

First off, the contract made no mention of the actual service fee.

Secondly, the contract states that S-E can change it without giving notice.

Taxes.

Currency rates change, especially with recent events. It might be wrong now but it wasn't at one time.

Eri
07-30-2011, 07:05 AM
Well up so SE who haven't checked the rates in 4-6 Years. If they are unable do it. Charge It so everyone in the game to pays in the same Currency. I'd pay Yen or Dollars or Euro don't care but at least charge everyone the same.

Alhanelem

You know how much work it is to keep up with exchange rates of all the different currencies tehy deal in? It's too much work to constantly adjust and update the price based on currency values (And, if it did, we'd ALL be paying more due to inflation- But SE's subscription price has remained constant.)

Price stability is very important.

Eri

With the new Payment system everyone in EU beside the Community in GB is Forced to pay € . They got their own currencys and their own Prices(For England). So this is retarded . They treat € like $ but not £!
As thu as : £ > € > 円 > $ in worth. Conclusion would be to LOWER the € Fee to 9.50€ at Least to make it Equal with the other ones mentioned.
Treating € as $ is the worst Idea ever.
Since no Com-rep can explain y either. Its quite Obivious that they dont know.

Eri

It has not alway been like this...... we could pay in $ until they Ninja changed it. NOW however you are forced to pay extremely overpriced Stuff. SE should explain themselfes.
