Dear Square-Enix,

With the changes to the billing system, the customer is asked to pay for services from Square-Enix in advance via Chrysta.

But what are we getting? If we pay for three, six months, a year in advance, what will the future hold? A series of mini-expansions, or a full blown blown expansion like Treasures of Aht Urgan or Wings of the Goddess? Yes, we realize there are job adjustments and new battle systems planned. But as far as purchase-able content goes, have we reached the end? There is no mention of any kind of expansions in the 2011 Timeline, but that doesn't mean anything either way.

Knowing that all content will be included without the need for the purchase of additional expansions of any kind would itself give us confidence as customer of Square-Enix's product. The new content may very well stand on its own to provide enough adventures and battles to make paying in advance worth it. Informing its consumers of what lies ahead would benefit Square-Enix, as faith in the company from its customers would translate to revenue on the part of its loyal, paying fans.

Right now, the customer is asked for blind faith. We as customers should not be left hanging for months on end waiting for answers that may never come, while paying fees the entire time. We are asked to put our trust with our personal financial information in third party billing companies that have both received negative customer reviews. We are asked to purchase Chrysta that do not match the payment requirements. Now, we are asking you, Square-Enix, for answers as to what lies ahead in 2011 and 2012. We look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Panthera of Fenrir

they will give us expansions IF more interest is shown in XI, so if you really want more expansions convince more people to join, make XI super popular again

that is the current theory of most of the XI community, does that mean SE wont give us more expansions, no it doesnt, at the moment I think they are trying to figure out what to do about the PS2 userbase though, which in Japan is still pretty high, putting XI on the PS3 would be the solution, but that also requires a deal between sony and SE...which does not seem to be happening, it seems sony would rather have XI on their playstation vita portable....somehow I see this decision as crashing down on SE and I think SE should push to get XI on the PS3, cause I'm betting most of the PS2 users in Japan that play XI have a PS3
