Sometimes, i wonder why monsters do 20k damage when your character can barely hit too 2-5k health. Sad taru too see people dieying by over kill hits that doesnt make sence when you know for sure no one in game has 20-40k hp unless they use brew lol
but hey i like too die alot i guess. So every event! moogle can tell me hey you die this many times oh thanks taru... oh wait dont forget your anniversary ring O: ouch that hurts.

Its purely because this game was built on the premise of you being in parties more often than not. Early on monsters had lower health, and it was increased. You can still find mandies in the Jungles who have like less than half of regular HP -- or at least you could years back, I don't know if they ever fixed that.
That's why they added those "avoid ko" abilities.
Then stoneskin, phalanx, pdt/mdt sets, etc.
There are ways to survive.

Well, people were saying that there are plenty of ways to survive, I just wanted to throw in a way to get yourself killed.

Why kill yourself when you can just let the 5 others in your party die? A True Summoner runs for the hills!

I think FFXI mirrors the real world. Have you ever tried to fight a bear before? Sure with a spear or sword you might have a shot, but good luck punching it. I also feel pretty sure that the bear has a chance to hit you pretty hard.

Actually....punch the bear hard enough in the nose, it will back off.....you just got to know where to aim.
Ever fought a mountain lion before? Those can give you serious cuts. Coyotes too.

Maybe you, but I'll just kite the mob while letting the WHM do the healing.

Wait, we don't have enough HP and mobs do too much damage? How the hell did we do exp/merit/dynamis/limbus/BCNM/KSNM/KCNM/ENM/ZNM/ISNM/VNM/HNM/avatars/einherjar/sea/sky/abyssea/quests/missions etc all these years?

The mobs in FFXI are too easy if we're being serious. Too many things you DONT need PLD to tank. That's the problem.

If you think these are bad, try the XIV forums. Only forums I've ever got any kind of ban on. I got a 3 hour ban because someone was like "WAIT YOU DIDN'T WASTE EVEN MORE OF YOUR LIFE GETTING MULTIPLE JOBS TO 50, YOU CAN'T HAVE AN OPINION"
and I was like "I think I spent 6 months of game time and more than a thousand dollars on this game, so I can have an opinion if I want to..."

Please give us the rest of the sentence or paragraph you were banned for. Who are "they" ? That sentence alone wouldn't get you banned, so there is much more to it than meets the eye.
