Any chance of any wallpapers being made King? Love your drawing style (especially the mithra pictures :D) and I think FFXI character themed wallpapers would spread quite well over the web. ^^ I know your busy ofc but just a thought.

I'm a spikey redhead mithra thief. I was thinking on sig picturing me devouring a cake. Why? Because i have Twashtar, can't cut cakes without it! I wear full empyrean armor, hoodie probably down so it doesn't get dirty. I was also imagining the Twashtar stuck to the cake.

with firefox i cant see the donation button, but with IE i can...i totally dislike IE but its another story lol....

with IE if i click the button im redirected to paypal but i get an error message "Sorry — your last action could not be completed"

i use paypal daily so i dunno whats the problem lol

Hmmm... just checked it out on Firefox (I'm running Safari normally), and everything seems to be in working order. The only thing I can think of that may cause Firefox some grief is perhaps due to the fact Google pages (the site that houses the gallery and such) interprets Paypal's Donate button as a "Google Gadget" when placing the code in the page. I know that Firefox has a lot of ways to customize the browser to each user experience, and it could be something you have set currently to block or not accept within the settings of your browser...but as far as it giving you an error message, that could also be a paypal issue. If it's a paypal thing, I've found that their customer service center folks are pretty competent when helping resolve little quirky issues such as that. Here's their contact:

I suppose I'll throw my own request in, though it's going to be a bit different. I'm looking for Fenrir, full body, either front or side view, howling with head at a 45 degree angle.

I suppose I prefer side view, with maybe a Yag in front, stepping backwards slowly with his hands up in stop motion as if to say, whoa whoa whoa no need to go postal I'm leaving, with another beastman type slowly and quietly tip toeing away in fear, hoping not to get noticed. Alternatively or both, Fenrir sitting in a recliner with his leg crossed like a guy, wearing glasses, reading a newspaper, lamp nearby on a table, with a taru SMN at his side, Fenrir pointing in whichever direction the kitchen would be, as if to say "fetch me coffee, foo" Taru complete with frown. Caption: In Abyssea, Fenrir summons you!

But I stress this isn't a big deal and you can take 6 months to do it or never. I just don't know when I'll ever get around to do it myself(I need to purchase the means for computer art work) but I'd like to see these ideas in art form at some point, whether by my doing or someone else's. I'd probably use both for sigs, rotating as the months pass.

First off would like to say your work is fantastic. A former LS mate (who quit the game last year) used to do all of our LS siggy's for us, and shared a similar illustration style to yours. Cuddo's to your work so far.

One of the pieces she had been working on for me prior to her leaving (which she never had an opportunity to finish) was a sig inspired a-la Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum (you know, where he has his foot up on a barrel and a sword in his hand) and my Corsair. I always thought the new AF3 looked very much like the Cap'n, so I was wondering if I could submit a request for you to undertake this next level project.

Theme: Classic captain morgan style stance (foot on a barrel or something FFXI-ish). Minus the sword, insert the Armageddon. Some small sort of maple leaf somewhere... I am Canadian, and I've always had it embedded in my sigs.

Okay, just got off the phone with Paypal, and they've confirmed that Firefox 9, and the latest Google Chrome are not compatible with their buttons. I did manage to create a basic link that leads you to the same place though, so that should be compatible with everything :) Sorry for the confusion, and thanks again for the support guys /salute

First off, these sigs are amazing Kingfury, and I think the buzz that they've created is fantastic. Keep up the awesome work. ^^

So I guess I'll submit my request as to get a sig sometime this year. :D

The general scene would be me riding away on Sleipnir down and to the left toward... the viewer. With Odin running a little ways behind trying to catch me.

Ideally in my right hand I'd be holding Nirvana upward, pointing forward, and in my left hand I would be holding Gungnir downward and out.

I have no idea how much room there'd be left after all that but if there's enough then if you could include: "Why are there six legs if there are only four directions?" that would be awesome.

It was surprisingly difficult to find a good picture of Gungnir. By the way The version from FFXII is quite nice. I would also prefer it be the spear and not the sword that he uses in FFXI (if that is indeed Gungnir that he uses).

Okay, how do I take screen shots and find the file for them again? I used to know this but I don't take many screenies so I had forgotten.

Well, regardless of which system you're playing on, pressing "Scroll Lock" on your keyboard should toggle between hide all windows / show all windows. Once all windows are hidden, you just tap the "Pring Screen" button to snap a screenshot (a message prompt will show up in the chat window confirming a successfully saved screenshot). I assume if you're playing on a PC, and are playing in "Windowed mode", you could just Paste that screenshot into the image editing software of your choosing and save the file from that point which would be easy smeezy. For console users, unfortunately, it's a bit more involved ^^;

For the Console Users:
Once you have that screenshot saved In-game, you can log out of the game and head back to the PlayOnline Navigation screen (the one before the "Play" screen) and mossy on up to the upper right-hand corner where "File Manager" is located. The icon is a little white file folder. When the File Manager window pops up, direct your cursor over to the right side of the lovely navigation icons to the orange'ish file folder icon which should be the "Screenshots" folder. Once inside, you should see a nice list of all your screenshots. If you click on one of them, you'll get the option to "Attach to Mail" which can be used to send the file to yourself via PlayOnlines email feature. You can attach up to 10 screenshots per session.

Once you've selected the screenshots you're happy with, head back up to the lovely navigation icons again and find the "Compose Mail" icon (it's the 4th icon from the left). When you click it, the Mail menu should pop up where you can input all the necessary info needed to email yourself the screenshots. The screenshots are already attached to the email at this point so once everything is entered, just hit the "Send" icon (which looks like a Volume symbol for some reason. It's the 1st icon from the left) when you're all set. Confirm the process when you get the "Send mail now?" prompt by clicking "Yes", and you're good.

From that point, you can download the screenshot to your computer and upload it to a image source website of your liking such as Photobucket.com (http://photobucket.com/), and Imageshack.com (http://Imageshack.com), etc. Post the lmage link you get from those sites here for our viewing pleasure, and you're done. Hmmm... it does seem rather drawn out doesn't it... kinda makes you wish you could do all this from In-Game huh lol ^^;

By the way i love pink so you can go crazy with different shades of pinks and purples for the background and text and you can add my name somewhere too. Also just to edit my request, can you draw her with a little longer pony tail? God I hate how all the Mithra you can choose have such short hair. I'd like it to be at least past my character's shoulders.

^^ Not to worry Karb, these request are like exercise for my art brain lol! It's hard to explain it really, but I get a charge with each request, sort of like a challenge-like feeling y'know. It's really what I should be doing everyday anyway (sketching/drawing) as an artist since that's what keeps us improving.

Hume 2A PLD, AF3 hands/feet, Twilight body, Zelus tiara, Homam pants, Ochain, Almace. A block pose like the above PUP pose would be pretty epic. And if possible a Mithra 6A behind the PLD being defended? WHM AF3 on that. A fiery background would be pretty awesome. Battle marks and blood a plus! Gritted teeth too. Though with the hair a little unkempt compared to the game version, maybe a little longer fringe, and a darker brown than used in game. Text reading Darka. Not bothered about the WHM pose, maybe casting something?

If you know the film 300, the scene where they block the explosives in slow motion. If you can give the sword a cool glow that'd rock. Like an anime style charge up attack. Don't particularly want the WHM looking defenseless and timid, more a mix of mid battle anger, but surprise of an attack.

Basically, i would like to be lounging against a tree in yhoator with a bowl of sake on the right side of the picture. With several pets in the picture doing tasks. Be creative theres lots of fun pets to choose from. Heres some ideas to work with. Dipper yuly dragging/flying away on the left side of the screen with my backpack, to put it away (its a heavy bag so she is trying extra hard). Flowerpot Merle is bringing me the sake gourd to refill my cup (its almost as big as he is!) My pet Opo-opo's Mae-Mae and Ono-ono could be walking side by side one with farsha and the other with Aymur in their tails. Bloodclaw Shasra could be curled up sleeping with my feet crossed and propped up on his back. Ultimately it doesnt matter, as long its me loungin with sake lookin like a wildman (make me look cool xD), with a buncha pets making the picture look active and lively as they do "the boss is home!" type stuff all on a cool jungle background.

I would like it to say ~The Boss is Home~
somewhere in the picture.
And of course my name somewhere "Gotterdammerung"

I sure can ^^ I was waiting for my 1st test poster to arrive before I posted any further details about the process, and today it came!

The poster looks great, and has a very nice paper weight + gloss and quality to it so I'm pleased with the results. Shipping took about 3 days (standard shipping), so it wasn't too bad wait wise, so now I just have to plan out the actual ordering interface that requesters can tap into should they wish to take advantage of this option. As far as the prices are concerned, I think I've worked it out to where they are pretty decent. I'll post all that stuff on the gallery page once everything is official. More to come! :)

Setting: Yhoator jungle (near the base of ifrit's cauldron)
In a secret alcove, natural hot springs have formed. The water pools in the igneous rock where it is warmed by the residual heat of the nearby volcano.

Scene: A band of Mithra, have come to privately relax in the rejuvenating waters. They are all provocatively posed, yet tastefully covered by steam, and water, and such. Subtly, in the background of the jungle, spies <me>. You likely don't even notice me in the picture. Then in one of those small side comic boxes where u blow up the image to a larger size, there is a spoiler picture of my face making it obvious and easy to locate me in the main picture.

Well for commission works outside of the signature pieces created, I wouldn't necessarily have to post it in the gallery since I would be dealing with your request on an individual basis, so your art delivery options would be requested from the beginning of the project as a result. You could still request and pay for a poster as well once the art is all done up. I can put a link for such things on the gallery page to explain in detail.

Now the idea of the whole thing might be a little hard but I'll just give you a general idea and let you decide what would look good and what is more convenient for you.

So I want the two positioned like this:

Chillo, the SMN, being where the PLD is in the pic. and Chilla, the PUP, being where the WHM is. Only thing different is I want Chilla, the PUP, looking up instead of down. And I want her looking a little mad while Chillo, the SMN, has a big smile on his face. That's the main thing I want, that and I would love all the crystal floating in the pic. along with Shinryu in the back! Now the rest of the stuff I list I would like in the pic. but I would understand if it's too much.

Some other ideas are I would love their pets, and soon to be pets, in too. I was thinking put them where the people in that pic. are standing. Having them all look up at the two Tarus. The pets being:

Believe it or not, that's all I have. I feel pretty bad for requesting it cause it's a lot to ask for. So just do whatever you think looks best, that was what I could come up with. Hello I am new to this forum. I saw your amazing work and was wondering if you could do one for me. My idea is to have my drk wielding a caladblog doing the jump for torcleaver and having the drk bats flying around him. I have a dat swapped AF3 helmet I would like him to be wearing. If at all possible the slot where the eyes are I would like to be glowing red. Background is at your discretion of what you would feel appropriate.

i would like a sig as well please if it's not too much trouble :)

i would like the pose to be my mithra lying on her back in a slanted position clutching her twilight scythe to her chest as she licks blood off the blade, with one of her legs wrapped around the bottom part of the handle and her tail wrapped around it at some part as well. for facial expression i'd like something fairly seductive with her blushing a bit. and preferably drawn in an anime style of art if possible.

for text i'd like my character's name "Zyla" and a quote of "My cuteness will be the death of you"

Well I wouldn't have come as far as I have in my craft if I wasn't an artist that can take constructive criticism! ^^ That, and if you knew my older brother, who was the exact opposite of a "constructive critic" towards my artwork when I was a young artist, you'd know that I've developed a tough skin to the non constructive stuff as well lol. To be honest I was pretty torn on what color should go in the background ^^; I had a dozen different colors that all felt kind've meh, and the only other option that felt somewhat okay was a simple black backdrop.

The black background really makes the picture stand out. Just throwing out my 2 cents here. The original picture would look better if the wooden ground extended out further and you put a railing on it to simulate him standing on a ship's deck.

Only if he had a website with a link to it, otherwise nobody will know who he is outside this forum anyway. For reference, my character is HumeF 6A with all 20 jobs to 90 (and in full empyrean +1's), an Ukonvasara, and Armageddon. I'm also working on a Death Penalty, but mostly that's just wishful thinking at this point unless 28000 Alexandrite just fall in my lap somehow. People call me "Quest Woman" since I've done nearly all of the quests (I'm still looking to do more!) and as for crafting, I fish (I'll give you 3 guesses why and the first two don't count.)

Helllo Kingfury^^. I've seen many of your signatures and I am very impressed. I would certainly appreciate your services when you get the time. My character is an elvaan male. Platinum hair like in my profile picture. My main job is Samurai, and Masamune, so i would like my sig to have a few key things. At the top left i would like it to say "DarkBass" and underneath it to say "The one who walks the road of Twilight" if you can. as for the picture itself, My character in full usukane. To the left id like me in the finishing stance of tachi fudo, some people around me unconcious. or goblins. whichever is easier to put in :D. with the little light shine at the tip of the blade and the shining flash line of the ws. and on the right an enlarged picture of me on the right with me turned with an evil smile. black eyes, yellow iris and black pupils and the right side of my face covered in ichigo's hollow mask. if you need a picture of it ill provide one. Would be nice if you could have it "forming" meaning have white traces of the mask around the face. Please get back to me in your leisure:)

On behalf of folks using these signatures elsewhere, please don't feel offended as that's apart of the goal with these fun pieces of art. ^^ I feel it would be an incredible waste to only use such personal pieces of character art in only one place, so I'm more than proud and honored to see them used on other forums and locations. :) Though it is awesome to see them littered throughout these forums when I'm browsing lol.

Only if he had a website with a link to it, otherwise nobody will know who he is outside this forum anyway. That aside from the fact artwork on the net is considered public domain and is edited as they see fit and passed off as their own work etc. (not saying this is right but we all know it happens)

If he wants advertising he needs a website with his work on to become more well known, if he puts regular work on it then lots of peopel will visit it.

Believe it or not, I didn't set out doing these signatures with "publicity" on my mind at all, I just wanted to direct my illustrations to player's/poster's needs here on these forums. Signatures are not the only art I'm willing to lend my hand in creating for the forum posters here, as stated on the OP, but I suppose the other types of art requests will eventually catch on! ^^; (maybe?! lol) I illustrate every single day regardless, and these signatures are a big highlight to my usual mundane freelance material lol. However, in hindsight of threads like "Who makes these?" (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/12266-Who-makes-these?highlight=kingfury) where folks are simply curious about where to post their sig requests, I will definitely exercise a proper solution along the lines of placing a link within the Sigs themselves.

I'll have to do some tinkering to shorten the length of the gallery page url, but that should be the easy part. My main concern is making sure to not overcrowd the artwork with too much text flying everywhere lol. Thanks for the feedback and heads up guys. /salute

^^ lol unfortunately, each Signature I start (sketch first) ends up becoming the finished line art for the last few. I'll make sure to scan in the sketch phase of the art before fleshing out the pieces for ya though :)

The company I'm using will be using Priority shipping rates based on the US postal service, and will have to check the specific rates based on each international location. It wouldn't be $15 bucks anymore due to the added cost, but it wouldn't be /brainexploding cost either, so I can detail that info when you're ready to start.

I've been debating making a request for awhile now... For one thing I admittedly don't post much, if any. I just tend to browse the forums. And so I didn't want to use your time to create something that wouldn't get much use. However I have to say you won we over with how awsome your signatures have been so far and as a result here's my request for if you're are still accepting them ^^.

If possible I'd like to have a mithra summoner with the 6A face sitting ontop of Alexander's left turret-looking shoulder. With both Alexander and the Mithra facing towards the center of the picture. For the mithra's pose could her legs be crossed (right leg over left) and hanging off the front of the shoulder/turret. Her left arm crossed across her stomach with her right arm held up by the back of her left hand. Her head tilted slightly to the right and held up by her right hand. And an arrogant smirk expression on her face.

Odin would be hovering(without his horse) infront of the mithra and Alexander acting like a sentinel. Odin's posture has him facing off to the left of the picture (Alexander's and the Mithra's Right) with his upper body twisting slightly towards the center of the picture as he's drawing his gaze upon the viewer of the picture. His polearm in his right hand pointed downward at about a 80 degree angle or so and his left hand at his side with fingers apart. Odin's legs staggered ever so slightly to go along with him hovering above ground.

The backround can resemble the walls of Limbus and The Garden of Ru'Hmet. Equipment for the mithra would be: no weapon, no head gear, yinyang robe with the arm tattoes from Igqira Weskit, smn af3 bracers for hands, Tatsumaki Sitagoromo for legs, and smn af3boots for feet. And for a quoted phrase, I think "Threads are woven." off to the side speaks riddled-wonders.

K hope that's everything, What I would loved to be in the signature is me standing to the side reaching out and touching The top of Fenrir's head and having his Aura coming up my arm. Having my characters eye's glowing the same color as the aura would be neat too. I'm not too sure on the color for the background :x. (not creative XD)Summoner In full Af3. As for the look on Kimara's face I want it to be like she feels like she's taken Fenrir's soul. So almost like a painful look in a really intense moment.

OMG kingfury! Thank you for making this!! I was losing hope to see a fanart of my favorite characters! I hope I can describe it well because I couldn't really find a picture of what I have in mind.

I would like a character fanart, with two characters:

Avina, Hume Female with Face 3 Hair B (Light chestnut) in full Duelist set, no weapons.

I would like a picture of them standing back to back, Avina on the left and Kenjii to the right, this meaning the 'camera' would be facing their sides. I imagine Avina looking at the 'camera' with a confident, happy smile, maybe winking. Kenjii would have an annoyed expression instead, with a shade of blushing, and be looking at Avina from over his right shoulder.

I'll post a pic I made with Altanaviewer a long time ago to get the idea even though the angle is different from what I've asked. Also feel free to not draw the whole bodies if you want, a picture from up their waist would be fine.

Regarding writing, I think "Avina & Kenjii" in the bottom center of the pic is enough.

It really depends on the concept of the Signature itself (complexity of the piece), but I can usually get away with 2hrs for most of them. The drawing of the sigs is the quickest portion of the process though, which can be done in under 20mins. It's when I have to clean things up in photoshop and prep the image for coloring and such that things slow down a bit lol.


I didn't know this thread actually had a topic other than just people ordering free sigs.

King, I'd like to request a sig bud. I don't have any examples because while I have the vision to come up with ideas and to appreciate good art, my ability is lacking. My character is an elf with the hairstyle/color in the avatar pic next to my post here. See if you can follow me on the description. Put me in bard AF3, but have me distracted watching a beast jug pet doing something (dancing? think bunny going nuts). Have a red mage auto behind me stealing my wallet. That should capture my current end-game jobs. Prolly best to draw it in profile so all of it will fit. My in-game name IS Glamdring, and the sig phrase should be something like "Schizophrenia-making fantasy reality... or is it the other way around?"

Both actually lol ^^; you can always make a request, though the line has become rather long. I'll be adding a new page to the gallery site that details how requests can be expedited should you want your Signature sooner than later since the line has grown to such a degree. Never fear though, each request will be fulfilled in due time! :)

I was wondering if you could draw me in my gear (quick edit and note, can you not draw the chinstrap on the turban? I've always hated it. >.>), eyes closed, but smiling (think slightly smug, but not superiority complex), holding my great axe, sitting in front of a large pile of weapons. Everything from bloody and dinged up, to shiny and new. Silly looking things, well known weapons, and super uber awesome cool looking ones. Anything goes! :D Somewhere, can you write on there my name and Jack Of All Trades?
