Hello everyone! This is my first post on the forums
So anyway, I play FFXI on the xbox 360. I have all 4 expansion packs and all 3 abyssea add-ons. I downloaded the Playonline Viewer onto my PC because I want to try FFXI out on the PC. Obviously, I can't play FFXI because it isn't installed. I was wondering if there was someway I could play the game on PC without buying a whole other copy of the game. Also how would I get my expansions and addons to the PC?

Gotta buy it all again.
You could just get it on Steam, You get the Ultimate Collection for like... 10$? That includes E'ERTHANG.

So if I got E'ERTHANG on PC and I go back and log on on my xbox would I have E'ERTHANG on there?

hrrrrng thats a rough call.
You know, the more i think about it, I'm pretty sure the Mini-Expansions like Abyssea/AMK/etc are linked to your account, not to your system.
But i think, for the sake of Data, The Box-expansions have to be installed to said platform. I.E to play WoTG on your PC you have to actually have WoTG installed. Because without it the Data for the zones isnt on your PC...?
Sorry i dont know much about it :|

Yeah, I'll probably just buy that ultimate collection from steam. I have the box expansions on my xbox already so it's cool. Thanks for the help!

If you have a friend with some extra discs (or find a freebie download - but be careful), yes, you can install it on your comp and play. However, you will only be able to access the same content you have on your Xbox360. As Karbuncle said, the expansions are linked to your account, not your system. If you buy a complete comp version and don't have any Abyssea expasions on your xbox360, you'll be able to play Abyssea on your comp but not your xbox. If you're missing any of the current expansions, you're better off buying an xbox360 copy and finding somewhere reputable to download the game for your comp. In any case, the $10 steam version would be a good buy if you've got $10 to spare.
