Well, thought I would set up Click and Buy account today (took a while, but nice people who actually helped me, had a couple of mishaps hitting wrong buttons), also went on to the SE account website just to check out anything new, found my click and buy account linked to my se account, put crysta into account, confirmed the Click and buy account for payment, all set for when ever this starts, or I should be. Suggest early start on setting this up.
Just so you know, I used a prepaid debit card, not visa or m/c secured. They had me jump thru some hoops but not to bad. They just put two debits thru my account for amounts between 1.00 and 1.98, you just have to check your account and tell them online how much went thru, account verified. The small amounts are credited to your click and buy account once that account is verified.

Should have a PayPal option.

I already set up a crysta option when I signed up for ffxiv. And allow crysta on my SE account. I plan on using those ultimate pay cards :)
It was extremely easy to set up my ffxiv account with the pay card option.

I find it a tad troublesome that they are pushing this on XI now without at least adding in more options. From what I've heard Click and buy seems like a shady business and as for the game cards it just seems like an odd company to go with. I'd just like to wonder why it seems like they haven't even made an attempt to add more options of payment when it's almost been a year since it's release. I hope a rep takes a look at this topic and can perhaps shed some light as to way we are only given two options to work with.
um, paypal, credit card and buying a card at the store are not enough payment options for you? What, do you want to send them a paper cheque? What are you looking for here? I am just happy I won't have to use my girlfriend's credit card anymore.

The problem people are having is that Click & Buy is a shady company.

Ultimate pay also uses pay pal and isn't shady. Alot of online games go though them. They are also easy to locate card as well. My mom tbh had a bad run in with pay pal. They charged her on something that we tried to cancle the order from.
hm.. for those of you who set up their accounts all ready: when you get to step 7 in the transfer walk through ( choose payment method) I went with credit card/click and buy but it didn't prompt me for any Billing info like the next step shows.
I was able to go to next and finish the process. Unless there is another step? ( I have a click and buy account all ready set up, I just find it weird I didn't get a prompt to log into it and confirm. Any other step after that to make sure it's going to work right next billing cycle? I don't want to be scrambling on the first to try and figure out what went wrong if something isn't right.

I've used Play Span for buying Crysta since XIV was released .. yes, I know, don't tell me, but one day I'm sure it'll be a fun game (/pray) .. and so far they've been very good.
I used C&B for paying LoTRO once and swore never again, their sign-up demanded a phone number (!) and I had other problems just trying to use a CC to pay, I've seen lots and lots of complaints about C&B on Turbine's forums and elsewhere.

Where are you seeing this? I've not seen any SE post detailing the transfer process or anything to say it's actually running yet. :O
[edit]
NVM, just seen the EU site, as always, is way behind the rest of the world and only in the last couple of hours has the announcement been put up there.

I will probably go with the Crysta option for several reasons.
1. Considering the war stories I heard about Click and Buy I am suprised that they have not been investigated yet.
2. Secondly, and more important to me, I am retired and living on a fixed income which I receive the 1st of every month. I pay all my recurring monthly bills in the first week of the month. This gives me a clear picture of what I have left to work with. With SE going to a 30 day billing cycle instead of monthly the only way I can do this is to purchase the Crysta I need on the 1st and let the billing happen at the end of the month.
Purchased Crysta through PayPal for FFXIV without the slightes problem.

I feel pretty much just as uncomfortable using this 'UltimatePay' I have never heard of as I would feel about using 'ClickandBye' of, which I will NOT use (tried to once... tried to...) so I will have to use PayPal via UltimatePay and buy Crysta (and hope it works), which I think should be abolished and then banished as well along with ClickandBye.
It's bad, and unnecessarily confusing to many players I am sure.
