If SquareEnix was looking into expanding the FoV and GoV, battle systems rather than simply repeating these systems into Aht Urgan and the past, I'd like to see so changes. FoV, created the first adjustment to experience parties and rewards systems. This was revolutionary, especially when augments came out, until we realize how restricted, cheap, and random the augments were. GoV, are now one of the best ways to lvl 1-75 outside of Abyssea. However, GoV serious flaw is the fact that players can stay in just one zone(usually crawlers nest) and spam kill.

The primary change Im recommending is the resurrection of my battle content called, "Battle Flow". In Wiki, I posted an new experience system PRE-Abyssea and FoV. Basically, it was a system which rewarded/forced players to attack different mobs across different zone to gain maxxed cap experience, while lowering exp due to over camping(colbri, at the time). The boost would have be extremely significant, I think I wanted a +200~300% increase on undercarriage ped mobs, while a -50~75% decrease on over camped mobs.

As far as in Aht Urgan, I proposed a "grand tome" that changes the mob kills across all areas in Aht Urgana. Much like Dominion OP give players a sense of which mobs over being over camped and which give better exp, players would accept a page to kill x amount of mobs. So whether the be Mamool JA, Troll, Soulflayer, etc players would know which mobs are "HOT" and which are not. Keeping enhancement system of GoV, except without losing them while zoning(only job change and each conquest period resets enhancement). This bonus on in Aht Urgan Areas, and not other areas.

The experience reward would have to be enough to either match Abyssea and current GoV, or come very close. I also suggest that the numbers needed to successfully complete a page be increased from 6-10) to a larger factor say, 20-50. This would eliminate the need to keep going back and forth between books and pages.

As far as the Wings of the Goddess sections. The same "Battle Flow" concept would be used, however with changes. The changes I proposed is the "Grand Tome<s>" would tell players exactly where are are is defending/"out" and how what's the timer towards allies attacking or retreat. Players then would have an opportunity WITHOUT campaign signet to attack mobs and kill them to complete pages. Whether normal NM or General NM's.

With both areas, the exp per page could be capped. Currently, nest gives a max cap of 2320 exp per page/6 mobs. If let's say the new "Battle flow" would give approximately a 15,000 exp cap per page/30 beast men("HOT"). Plus misc items such as coins, gear, and whatnot.

As an aside, perhaps these areas could return the "Elite Page" requiring NM battle to receive random augments for gear lvl 75-99. This time with augments people actually want, not weather buffs(fairy weapons where on the right path).

I'm intrigued by your suggestion to award players for killing different mobs than what is usual for camping. My question is whether this much camping really exists anymore. I know that certain GoV are camped, like CN, but can anyone give insight as to how many other sites are camped to the extreme?

I certainly agree that for those of us who detest Abyssea with a passion and refuse to leech XP there, adding XoV to ToAU and WoTG areas would provide some very nice variety to leveling.

The bonuses to XP from XoV books makes leveling in other areas just not worth it now, though the Signet XP buffs for small groups also make a difference and its' absence is noticeable when in other areas.

Two things, in "regular area" exprience rings still work. So tie this "battle flow" concept with my other "campaign/allied note item" specifically, allied ring, experience rewards can see significant returns. Ot to mention the "combat and magic skill enhancments".

I think any player whether in Abyssea or FoV/GoV can tell you running back and for to book is a waste of time. Players would probably just like to "Cash out big" a lot fewer times then every 2 mins. Having a "grand tome" to cover each expansion rather than individual zone pages fit better in these areas. Both Aht Urgana and WoTG areas both offer easy tele back and forth from cities compared to regular areas.
