Grrrrrrrrrr just wanted to post that on behalf of folks who need to complete content that can't be soloed and can't find help ever. I wish I could hire npc's to help me sometimes. I hear a lot of complaints about the game being on easy mode the flip side of that is when you are stuck on content and no one can help. And just to make it clear friends ls mates don't always have the requirements to help with some of these things. Older content in particular which no one does should have option to hire npcs. May be easy mode but at least folks would not be stuck on stuff unable to progress for months. IMO Being stuck does not make the over all game any harder just frustrates the person who is stuck. Just had to get that off my chest.

it is annoying as hell to not be able to get help on story line content. Its hard to suggest a way to help out with that tho. You dont want everything made to easy and soloable, at the same time if its not, its a pain getting anyone to help. So your kinda screwed either way'

If your friends and LSmates don't have the requirements to help you, why not help them get the requirements and you can all finish it together? If you've been unable to get help for months, odds are you're doing something wrong.

Or get a new LS that actually helps you.

This is a legit problem that people are afreaid to talk about because of responses like the ones in this thread. Every LS I've had in the past 4 years is either too far ahead and not willing to help me get there or too far back and breaks up before it gets anywhere. I did come up with a solution though.

Um... if your LS isn't willing to even try to help you catch up, it might seriously be time to find a new LS. My endgame LS found the time the other day to gather together to run three or four of us through Divine Might, even though the majority of the people there didn't need it. If you're in a smaller LS with friends, shouldn't they be even more willing to help?

Divine Might is not a mission, though, but rather a single quest.

And it actually has quite useful rewards still while a lot, if not most of the actual missions offer little to no incentive to people these days and seriously the community is more and more about lower number groups at this point of time at least. Things might change a little after people get the new things done, but for now, there is a lot of time consuming things you can get done alone or with just few friends, and anything other than that just has no value for them to invest their time into, just to help another person through it.

Not everyone are like that, of course, but I am not even remotely surprised that there are players who encounter it as a problem. Just telling these people to 'get better friends' or 'get a new linkshell' is not helping, either.

There are still quite a few levelUPses on the way, so things become even more doable with even less characters, and you might indeed end up stumbling to others who are doing the things you want to get done.
So I'd do other things while waiting for that to happen, things I could do, and try not to let the other things make me frustrated.

Things are changing, and while I do like the idea of having one's Adventuring Fellow for example to be able to help you with battlefields, I don't really know if I can imagine them ever implementing anything like that.
But it would be pretty nice, I think.

Anyways, just some thoughts~

Get btr frnds n00b

This is exacly what I'm talking about. I've been looking for a LS that is willing and able to get me where I need to be. Every LS I've had in the past 4 years has been missing at least one of those two. I don't think you'll ever get the trouth out of people if they have to post their name to it for fear of riddicule. What we need is an anonymous poll. "Is your LS able to do everything it wants?" and "Does your LS help you?" I'm glad you've found a helpful LS, but the % of people who answer yes for both questions is very small.

Never had a problem getting my LS mates to help me with missions or quests and the LS is able to do everything it wants to do. I've been with some members for near 4 years now and though we are not always the fastest to get things done--we do get things done that our LS members need done.

When I decided I wanted to get rank 10 in all nations, I found a buddy to go with me to the first I chose, we duo'd a good bit and got help with the rest. For the last nation, I went alone, did what I could solo, got LS mates here and there to help when they weren't busy, but ended up spending about 6 weeks in Windy to get to rank 10-- I was patient and waited until my mates had time.

Now I want to get back on WoTG missions and finish them up, so I've looked at FFXIAH to see who has the info there, see if there are peeps I've become 'acquainted with' over the years, and will try to get that rolling again... and I will but with patience.

Biggest problem we have is we need people to post at the website and let the leaders know what is needed. I will also note that we are not big on helping those who will not help themselves, as in find out the prerequisites for a mission, get them done so when we get people together the person in need is ready.

Last, I have to say that too many are in too much of a hurry. We have had some join the LS and bombard us with "can someone help me with..." and if they don't get an IMMEDIATE response or promise of help they leave the LS, which is fine and dandy. I find nothing about this game that requires immediate doing; we help each other and we get things done. I've helped everyone I could, farm spells, scrolls, missions, quests... you name it, and when I ask for help--I get it. It's all about give and take and patience...

Also, I found a decent endgame shell that I was with for a while and that helped too. I owe my dyna relic and most abyssea gear so far to being with them for 3 years.

Inafking, I hope you find a good LS that can accommodate you and that you like. I feel very fortunate to have met such quality peeps right when I first started playing.

Dragoy - Like I said, most of the people there (myself included) didn't need the fight, since we'd done it before. The majority of us were just there to help.

Inafking - If "willing" is the problem, then I would seriously suggest (again) finding a new LS; if "able" is the problem, see if you can help them catch up (if for some reason you can't help them catch up, that does really suck, and I'm sorry). I've never had a problem with mission progress, even just going with friends and not my LS. I dunno, maybe Unicorn was a friendlier server than Phoenix is, I dunno how difficult it is to get a group on Phoenix. Either way, best of luck. :/

Yeah, I meant that more as a general comment anyways.

And yup, people are different. Not everyone are able to meet people that can or want to help with whatever it is, while somewhere else there might be an abundance of those, even to spare!

What makes you think I haven't tried? Been trying for years.
