View Full Version : A heads up on Steam's Ultimate collection (Non Aby)

The collection (Non Aby) has an outdated POL which does not include the field to add your SquareEnix account, thus triggering the "POL-3512"
At least this is my assumption, when i downloaded the viewer via playonline.com the field was there, but not with the downloaded steam.

The viewer should update itself to the latest version available though, so it is not an issue.
If not, then there is a problem indeed.

posted about this awile ago and yes it doesnt auto download the current version, so unable to use the steam version, pol downloaded from the site wont boot the game either no needs a solution.

Hmm maybe they'll address it when they switch over to SE accounts.

No it still hasn't been fixed. I found out today when I chose to reinstall through steam.

Speaking of Steam... every other remotely up to date game on Steam allows you to download upgrades directly from them. SE should seriously look into that, as downloading through the POL Viewer is retarded on a whole new level. I can download the entire game from Steam in 15min, only to have to update through POL Viewer for another ten ish hours. Just doesn't make sense.
