Since Shields got some bashing adjustments, what are SE's plan to boost Weapon bash to doing more than 15 dmg per use?


I'm not asking for Aegis damage, but getting bashed with a TWO HANDED WEAPON, would hurt just as much if not more than being slammed with a shield.


Why ignore this ability devs?

It would seem pretty obvious that all of these bash abilities are only for interrupting mobs. While i dont agree with the dmg increase on the shield bash, i dont think weapon bash should have an increase either. Its sole purpous is to Interrupt, and thats exactly what it does. What i think needs to be done more than dmg, is to decrease the CD on these significantly.

Well since they already made shields hit harder (which I thought was stupid), weapons only makes sense now. So unfortunately it needs to be done.



But lowered cooldown, 2minute reuse? Yes please.

Phh, way way less than 2 minutes dude. It needs to be like 10 seconds. It would open the door to bringing DRK and PLD for interrupts. Would change the game into a new direction of, if you dont interrupt this shyt, your dead. Maybe not that extreme, reminds me too much of WoW if it one shots you, but interrupts need to have more use in this game.

Having 1 interrupt every 3-5 minutes is stupid, look at stun, u can practically spam that. Obviously over time, they would need to become immune to the stun on it, to avoid people exploiting a stun lock spam alternating between two characters.

It couldn't be that low, because of the existence of Aegis.

I can spam stun a lot, and apparently due to .dat mining Stun II animation is now in the game.

Well, you got me there. No real way to fix that since everyone with an Aegis will cry a river and call the WAAAAHHHHHHHHMBULANCE. Screw it, remove that dum 240 dmg on shield bash, or just keep it. Maybe Paladin will hold hate with 240 dmg spam stun.

Its kind of depressing I know, but maybe they could remove the shield bash damage. -40% Magic Damage Taken that exceeds the cap is already game breaking anyway.

And if they complain, they obviously don't realize the 'real' point behind Aegis anyway.

I think since it's a drk ability they could make it full damage of one strike, reduce the enmity it causes, and lower the cooldown to a 1:30. Throw in a 5 second bind effect so it can be used as a tool to guarantee you don't lose your tp weaponskilling with a monster running around.

Would be fun if all jobs had bashes.

Like you could have a PUP bash, that is a simultaneous bash from automaton and master (fails if both aren't in range). You could have a WHM bash that restored a little MP. BLM could have a bash that was just push back to get more space.

10 seconds is retarded. Would make BLU even more unwanted.

1:30 at the least,
3:00 at the most.

IDC about damage, TP on the other hand...

Decrease timer from 5:00 to 1:30 and increase duration from 2 secs to 5 secs. Increase to damage would be nice but I'd prefer the 2 changes I mentioned.
