They're not GAMEBREAKING but....
Barrier Module An earth-based automaton attachment.
Functionality: Increases chance of blocking with shield
Earth Maneuver: Adds Shield Mastery and shortens Shield Bash recast time
Percolator A water-based automaton attachment.
Functionality: Increases skill gain rate
Vivi Valve A light-based automaton attachment.
Functionality: Increases "Cure" potency
Disruptor A darkness-based automaton attachment.
Functionality: Use "Dispel"
They all have their uses. I know the first complain will be "Why didnt they just add Dispel to xxx automatons spell list?". But the Cure Potency one is really nice, the Increase Skill Gain rate is like a gift from god to people like me, and the Shield Blocking seems nice too, Considering Shield Mastery gives bonus TP when blocking.
Hopefully its a decent base rate, since they have no "Shield Skill". Hopefully you'll be able to get these as easily as the others.
I know i'll be doing ENM60 when i log on, Thats how i got the others (Didnt have any Imperial Standing lol ;;)

I'm really glad I checked here before I posted my topic. You beat me to it. I'll just copy and paste what I was gonna say.
I wont lie, the new attachments did surprise me when I saw them included in this version update. Here are my thoughts on them.
Barrier Module: This seems like it could be slightly useful in some situations. We'll have to see how often our VE will now use shield bash and block with his shield, but this could be useful if your puppet is tanking something. Seems purely situational.
Percolator: Best new attachment, hands down. Not for battle uses, but for those who don't have their puppets skilled up yet, this is a godsend. We'll get more skill ups with this. We'll have to see if the increase in skill ups is really significant though.
Vivi Valve: More cure potency, very curious about this one. It seems a bit redundant considering I am usually fully healed when my puppet throws me a cure 6, but that's just me. It could have some uses.
Disruptor: Dispel. This one looks very interesting. I'm thinking its gonna be like flashbulb, as in if you use dark maneuver, your puppet will just throw out dispel on the enemy. Battle wise this is probably the most useful attachment out of these new ones.
Overall I know I'm getting Percolator and Disruptor for sure. I'll have to try out the other two later. Pretty satisfied though.

Vivi Valve i expect to be most useful in Abyssea, where your HP Is really high (Well, Non-tarus >____>).
The Shield Block one I'm excited for because when i go to skill up, I sick my Automaton on a mob and afk (I put on Regen atmas since i dont have alot of PDT ones :X!). So this will help is longevity.
That and the skill up one, The dispel one seems nice too though D:!

The dispel attachment doesn't seem useful for party purposes to be honest, since you will most likely have at least one person in your party capable of casting dispel, but solo wise it will be great. Unless you have some type of mage sub, this will be the only way we can dispel certain effects. That makes it pretty useful in my eyes.

Well they said they making major changes to conquest npcs for equipment. I doubt they would put them on npcs for imperial standing. I bet they are conquest points.

No one is having a chuckle they just realized that Attuner and Target marker has been broken on melee ws since they were implemented?
and i rather have dispel as an attachment I can used on all puppets instead of on only a mage frame

I checked the conquest npc, imperial standing, and even allied notes npc. They aren't there. I also looked in the auction house and I didn't see them. Either these are Rare/ex attachments or something is wrong. Or I'm just blind.

They added new drops to Voidwatch mobs. Sinking feeling they're there.

Not surprised, but a little upset.
At least they fixed Casket Kupowers now working in GoV zones.
When they added last ones it came from ~3 sources (Caskets, Sanction, and ENM60). So theres bound to be other sources.
Skillup one is awesome. And dispel seems very nice too.
Cure potency seems overkill to me, I don't know if I'll actually bother to use it...
No special feelings for the other one.

there isn't a chance this heal one is gonna make Numbnuts cure me when I have 30 HP and Poison II instead of poisona, is there? And let's be honest, the only way my pup is tanking is if I don't engage, so when is it going to need Shield? Although I agree, he SHOULD use it since he-you know-is built with one.

Shield bash does damage and stuns. It has nothing to do with tanking. The auto's shield bash is quite strong, and being able to stun more often makes it more useful.

Vivi Valve sounds good on RDM head ( assuming its a significant boost to cure strength ), for those times where you're getting peppered with debuffs and WHM head just isn't putting out.

TO be perfectly frank i felt like Stringing Pummel was doing absolutely shitty damage. I also felt like my Crits were doing less.

Been in Zeruhn Mines the best part of the last 4 hours.. plenty of brown Treasure Caskets but no Attachment(s) within..
Beginning to wonder if its even in this zone. :mad:
Hint: If you plan to come down to the Z Mines, set Auto to Sharpshot - tears them up some fierce :D

Dispel could be useful
Shield mastery will be fun.
Overall I'm not spending the time or effort looking for most of these.. Would like shield mastery one though

i didnt study the GoV event from last patch so i dont know...i have a friend that is closed in the ruin since last patch, never exiting, just to get a fish neck...i'm not that mad XD

and the Cure potency one is rather useful at lower level and inside Abyssea on some occasions :O!
Edit: Also, I did ENM60 with a friend, i got Eraser, She got Equalizer. This doesn't rule it out it just we didn't get it.

The only issue I have with the skillup attachment is it ceases to be useful once your skills are capped.

Saw the Valve on AH on Asura, only sold for 500k, so not horrible.
Not as bad as 1.5mil... I mean, Its understandable for the ones from Targeting the Captain, But not for these... Some people have the gil though, and its the "OOOOH, NEW SHINIES!!!" smell, Then they become a dime a dozen.

I'd be willing to go up to a mill for the Barrier, but only other one I would like is the Disruptor - nothing has been listed on Shiva yet.. and my 8~9 hour adventure in Zeruhn Mines yesterday yielded no Attachments of any sort.

After toying with the new Skill up thing, I Can say maneuvers do help a lot.
The Improvements were definitely not "WTF OMG AWESOME", but they were definitely noticeable. In the ~40 minutes or so toying with it i gained i think 3 whole skill levels. I saw a lot of +0.3's and higher, a few 0.1's still.
It sped things up significantly, Its still a tad slow for my taste, but it is a large improvement.
Tested with the Melee frame, have not tried RNG or Mage frames yet.

Seems like these are going to be an absolute pain to find. Looks like I am waiting a few months for them to be on ah. I met a pup last night that had been farming for over 20 hours and yet to get one. I certainly don't want to farm zeni to pop Ob.
there has to be another way, this is just stupid. Last time was nice, buy them with IS, then they make it straight up luck?

Go get 2 Camera's, about ~40 plates, and go to Abyssea Tahrongi. Take pictures of Nauls, The Mini-Fafnir. No matter what mob he's asking for, Nauls will always give 101 Points for the "Perfect" shot, because its a Wyrm.
All and all you're looking at about ~20 minutes of taking pictures for about 4k Zeni, which is enough for 2-3 Pops depending on the price.
Drop rate seems to be pretty decent with TH. in 3 kills i got a Vivi-Valve and a Percolator.

On another note, people need to DO THE ENM!!, Not enough post-Update info on it. I know the last items were added to it but i need to know if the new ones were. test for meeeee, i can only do it once per conquest tally (Which should be changed to once per day :( )

Was a besieged shortly after the above purchases, my Auto was spamming Shield Bash every 60~90 seconds or so - each time he did it a Earth Maneuver was eaten, not 100% sure because the lag was horrid and Eraser was also proc'ing alot. Damn Scorpions love that Cold Breath.

did about 10 obs today, got barrier module, disruptor, and percolator. Gonna try to get vivi-valve sometime today XD but everyone is crammin ob, each popset is around 3500 zeni <_<. Drop rate is pretty decent. and I agree I don't want to see another casket, spent 50 hours down there trying for ring and I just couldn't do it anymore lol.

Just posting a bit of feedback about the new attachments, I onry have 2 of the 4 to discuss~
Barrier Module? Valoredge shield comes up *alot* and reduces the damage about the same a Size 4 shield does - was punching up some Orichalcumshell's with some friends and I disengaged, let Herzog (automaton) tank it, Strobe, Flashbulb, etc. When the shield didn't come up the average damage was about 80~90 per slog, when shield came up damage averaged 15~20.
I didn't take note of the TP gained after each time the shield came up w/ Earth Maneuver, sorry bout that. But it has turned Valoredge into a monster lol.
Shield Bash was approximately a 60 second recast with the Maneuver active when he did a Shield Bash.
Now the Disruptor? works the same as the Eraser but focuses on the engaged target, *does not* eat the Dark Maneuver as Eraser eats \all\ active Maneuvers. I didnt think to put up multiple Dark Maneuvers to see if it Dispeled multiple buffs on the Orichalcumshell's but they never used more then a single Shell Guard, or Bubble Shield, per fight. Didnt live long enough lol.

I haven't played lvl 75 puppet master in a while, but where are the new body/head and job types? If you really think about it, players have gotten a specific body type at lvl 20>30>40, if I remember correctly. With new heads at level 50.
I'm interesting in new body/head types(bard) and INCREASED-attachment slots. When I played PUP I remembered being seriously limited in attachment(which is a good balance mechanic AT 20, 30, 40). However, approaching lvl 99 it's time to expand these slot. What's the current slots 9 or 12 with most frames only allowing 3 element variance(or so).?
Matching decreased "Overload" to the newer stronger frames would be helpful also.
