View Full Version : Linked accounts, PlayOnline password wont work.

Hello community, and hopefully someone who can fix my problem!
I recently bought a Security Token and in order to get my Mog Satchel, i needed to link my Final Fantasy account to my Square Enix account. I did this, having no trouble, however, when I try to log in now, my Play Online password or ID will not work. My ID and password are the same for both accounts, and I did not change anything.
What is going on here?

So it used to work, but now it doesnt? What did you change?

The only change that was made to the accounts was linking them. That's it.

If it is saying the playonline ID or password is incorrect then that is the wrong one. Either the ID is wrong or the pass is wrong. It checks the SE ID second

But they have the same ID and password, so either way it should be working.
EDIT: I would like to add that I tried to contact a SE agent, and at the hours they posted that they would be on, there was none to be found. I also sent 3 e-mails to SE, no reply to any of them.

You need to call Customer Service between the hours of 9am and 6pm PDT (Noon EDT and 9pm EDT), Monday through Friday only and never on Holidays.
E-mails to SE will get you nowhere sorry.

I did e-mail them in those hours. But, I figured out the problem. On the log in menu, after putting in my member password, I had to go to settings and put in my Square Enix information, again. As in, erase and retype all the information. The way it seems to be is that I entered it before the change could be processed or something.

What precise steps did you take to update your POL viewer login details to now also include your SE account. You do realise the SE login is a second authentication step which is done after the POL login authentication, the POL login step doesn't change.
