Trail Weapons Downgrade

I am one of the few people that have taken the NQ rout of an empyrean weapon, and now I would like to make a real Masamune but the thought of doing all those NMs again drives me crazy.

Was wondering if it would be possible to make trails to downgrade/go back a trail in order to go a diffrent path. This doesnt apply to just empyrean trails, I had a few friends do store TP GK just to later find out that the TB bonus path was better.

Anyways was just wondering what people thought of this idea.

I was thinking of something like this as well, but let's face it... those NMs are peanuts compared to the final Empyrean trials. They can be time-consuming though. Maybe SE could lower the respawn on some of them.. like Drooling Daisy.

People still do the NMs for both empyrean and woe weapons, judging from the shouts every week. Many of the NMs are solo/lowman at 90, while you needed a party/alliance at 75 cap.

I'm actually hoping that SE will add a special trial involving the HQ and NQ empyrean weapons. Like, to upgrade Verethragna from 90 to 99 requires both of the other 2 weapons in that trial branch (Revenant Fists +2 and Ursine Claws +2).
