Information Text or Explanation of Resist ____ items.

With the advent of Abyssea we have items such as: Diamond Ring, Resist Silence +3.


However we also have items that say, "Enhances Resist Silence Effect": Icesoul Rings, Corselet, etc.

Or items that say "Enhance Resistance to all Status Effects:"

Flawless Ribbon, Killer Shortbow.


Can we please get an explanation as to what the +3 means as opposed to the "Enhances ____ Effect."

And can we please have an explanation to explain if all items are created equal in this regard, with the item text being so ambiguous.

1. Is Flawless Ribbon more potent than all other items?
2. How potent is the killer shortbow.


3. How much % resistance do the resist traits actually give in PvE and in Ballista?

Augments have less room for text and are variable, so they went with the "Resist Silence +x" format. "Enhances Resist Silence" does the same thing, except show how strong it is.

Then show us how strong they are.

I'd be satisfied with an explanation of how Resist traits work. Is Resist Silence +3 a 3% increase in your chance to resist Silence? Hurr duur, I don't actually know. I do know that Horned Beast + Savior + RDM doesn't make me immune to petrify.
