Alright lets face it, when BLU's heard that we were getting Everyone's Grudge, there was a lot of mixed feelings, people thought it was BS at first, some people thought it would be the most broken spell in the game, others thought it would just outright suck. Unfortunatly its treading between a decent spell and sucking, because I'm sure none of us could of anticipated that this spell would have such weak imagination put into its multipliers and uses. I mean a Dark Based magic spell that is amplified by MND? Do I only find this to be kinda screwy?

Well I think this spell needs to be adjusted to be something that all of us BLU's would feel is worth of the name Everyone's Grudge. I mean this spell really has some potential to be something great, while people suggested that it would be based on ton berry hate or some garbage of that nature, here was my idea...

Everyone's Grudge Adjustment
Deals Darkness Damage, but the multiplier is instead hate (much as PLD's Atonement WS since by no means is it hard to pull hate on a BLU in parties of an nature) so this way if you were at 100% hate, you could create the maximum damage with your spell. To ensure that people don't simply get this spell and just spam said nuke until the mob is dead while maintaining the maximum multiplier. After every use of this spell, the Enmity towards a mob is erased/depleted. Under these conditions Everyone's Grudge would have so much practicality.

For instance, if I was wanting to regulate hate and temporary tank I could pull hate through spells, and when the tank is ok to retake it's position within the party mechanic, I drop this pretty lil spell, deal a fat chunk of damage, and loose all of my enmity to give hate back to the tank. This could serve a BLU so well since we can so easily pull hate off of tanks, and I personally think that giving this spell a bit more of an imaginative flare is what would make it very useful. I hope that SE considers this, and I would like to hear some input from other jobs, because I can honestly see BLU/THF making a come back with this spell by doing SATA (Insert Spell) and then doing Everyone's Grudge when achieving maximum hate.

I think this spell should cost 125 MP, have a 3 second cast timer, but a 2-3 minute recast. THis way people can't spam it and completely eradicate their enmity gain because this would make the job broken, yet reducing casting time and mp cost would make this a spectacular spell for our arsenal.

If it shared the same modifier as atonemant being hate based this spell would be even worse inside abyssea since atonement resists against every NM in there would be just as bad as our breath spells since they also resist inside abyssea. Woudn't mind seeing the modifier changed from mnd to either int or chr, although not sure with Blus gear selection if it would make a huge differance.

For normal exp mobs it could see a nice boost but they don't generally live long enough to worry about whos tanking, and whos gonna cast EG over any of our much cheaper more damaging physical spells on anything but NMs even if it did more damage based off hate.

Could be a decent change for outside abyssea, it's pretty dissapointing having such great nuking capability inside abyssea and horrible dmg for mp cost outside abyssea.

We do have Hydro Shot to shed our enmity but unfortunatly it needs chain affinity active to have the emnity down take effect.

I agree with you on this, though a lot of our other spells are in far more dire need of fixing than Everyone's Grudge. While it isn't perfect, it can still deal a decent amount of damage when set up properly. The other 80% of our spells with no use or incredibly limited use, however, can't be redeemed in a similar fashion. It's kinda sad that we get to learn so many cool spells, but never get to apply them because of how expensive, short lasting, ineffective and/or overall inefficient they are.

Overall good post, the idea is coherent and I wouldn't mind seeing it implemented.

It's fine as it is. Does more than 8k damage in Abyssea, and I've seen at least 2.4k outside of it.

i would of laughed if they made it so it was equal to tonberry hate, I havent reset hate since i began 7 years ago

Yes but Tashan it is not frequently used as much as lets say Charged Whisker and such, also it has so much more potential to become something that has far more utility then it is now. Also.... MND? really!? Just ugh.... still bugs me. Also 8k Everyone's Grudges are rare occasions, realistically its more like 4-6k average. When people post numbers that are not consistent its not a good debate for a spell. Because I've dropped an 8k QC and yet I still tell BLU's the average is 4.5-6k under a Chain Affinity Efflux spike. Also I find it hard to believe that someone would actually deny the possibility of a spell that would eliminate a BLU's enmity. I mean Habiki's statement is a bit more valid that it might be resisted due to atonement. Yet if it were able to erase hate after spending some fat damage on a mob, I can't see why nobody would deny such an adjustment. Bottom line, sure Everyone's Grudge is "Nice" but its not "Great" as most of us BLU's were hoping for.

I can respect that, and any added boost is always welcome in my view.

I just want to make sure you're not downplaying what it can already do.
