Any chance we'll see polearm skill as Blue Mage?

Well it'd be fun to play around with another weapon for once other then a warp cudgel given our poor selection of clubs, plus polearm would give us some cool skillchain capabilitys.

Like Impulse Drive > Quad. Continuum for Darkness, since are spells seem to have about a 90% chance of having mirror dmg from skillchains I could see some monstrous numbers, could possibly break 20k dmg with a set proc on Quad with mirror dmg.

Another option would be to give Blue Mage access to Swift Blade which would open up the same skillchain opportunitys.

Swift blade would be nice, we would probably give it a better use then PLD's do.... Just sayin haha.

I'd like to get dagger skill (evisceration) or access to hexa strike for a more variable arsenal myself. Swift Blade is a given, though I suspect we'll never get it.

while I understand the WS possibilities at high levels, if you wanna use Blue magic and a polearm, just play DRG/BLU, considered one of the best mage subs

I doubt the lore in FFXI would place a spear in the hands of an Immortal.

I've suggested Greatswords for BLU a few times... specifically the Falx type models (curved blade, to keep w/ lore) Just because it would be nice to have access to something else now and then.

he was as much blu as quistis was, neither of them were very magical tho. blu sure, but hardly mage.

i seriously doubt they will add any existing weapon to an existing job that would be too random. plus we are a big enough DD without getting a two-handed weapon.

His Blue Magic was only usuable through overdrive. They wern't as accessible as say, FF7's Enemy Skill materia, FF9's Quina and FF5's Job.

OMG YES! thank you! lol Ok here is a lil secret I've kept to myself for years, but when BLU was announced, I was hoping they were going to create 2 AF weapon swords, one in the shape of a Sword/Fork the other in the shape of a knife lol. I'm not going to lie, I was totally hoping for it.
