Thread Title:
DRG wyvern "exploding" and not healing after battle

Platform:
Windows, PS2
ISP:
dont know how to look that up >.>

Type of Internet Connection:
Cable (comcast)

Internet Connection Speed:
dont know

Date & Time:
its always been like this

Frequency:
always

Character Name:
Alikat

Race:
Mithra

World:
Diabolos (soon to be siren)

Main Job:
DRG

Support Job:
any subjob

Area and Coordinates:
in any spot in all zones

Party or Solo:
party, solo, alliance

NPC Name:
none

Monster Name:
any monster

Steps:
1. cast a spell to trigger healing breath or ele breath.
2. wyvern begins to cast either breath.
3. wyvern will not finish a healing breath after a mob is killed (interrupted casting) when i need it. as well looking like it will "explode" when an ele breath is interrupted (such as when i disengage or kill a mob before completion of breath.)

I would imagine this is intended because it has always been like this, I would have put somthing in the game feedback section asking if it would be possible to change it so your wyvern finishes using healing/elemental breath after a mob is killed

This is an animation bug. If you kill your target before the pet can use it's ability on it, it'll keep doing the charging animation for a minute because it has no target to cast on. As for healing breath, that could be a bug since it's supposed to heal the player, and not the targeted monster.

This happens with NPC Fellows as well. If a mob is killed at they're casting, they will stop mid-cast. Usually when she finally decides to haste me...

This is not a bug, if you casted an action while the mob was engaged (doesn't matter if its self targeted or mob targeted) and the mob die, you're wyvern will stop doing the action because there is no mob to keep fighting, if you want your wyvern to heal you, you got to disengage and command the wyvern to heal you to prevent this, (or if mob's hp is low, wait for teh mob to die), as far as i know it was intended to act that way.

I believe they are saying the graphics is the bug. It is natural that your wyvern won't breath on nothing, but it doesn't have to shoot red lines everywhere looking like it is trying to.

Same thing with SMN's Blood Pact:Ward, but worse since you will have to wait for BPW timer to be able to use the command again.

Hey everyone!

I can see why you would be reporting this as a possible in-game bug, however it is more related to feedback/suggestions. The thread has been moved over to the General Discussion area.

what? if something doesn't work properly isn't that considered a bug? by a function not properly activating due to certain events taking place I would think this would be a bug.. if not then is it intentional? Just wondering

Its a widely known issue to all platforms, as a SMN and a PUP it happens to me all the time and its so frustrating especially when my Automaton or avatar is readying a spell or a Bloodpact and a mob dies before it gets to go off I have to WAIT for the cooldown timer to go back down to try again.

Yeah this has been going on since PC launch. I've heard people joke about this at least 500 times since I've been playing DRG since US PC launch. Maybe it's time to fix it?
