Thief Dagger Trial "Evisceration" not able to obtain the quest!

Hello everyone.

After having a GM chat ingame and tryed to "Check Files just incase any is corrupted" Still no go to obtain this quest.

Here a pic showing for my "Check file" & an explanation what I have done and tryed so far.

So far I hope everyone understand this is a normal dagger tril for obtainging the Weaponskill called "Evisceration" for my THF

I'm 90 THF
Dagger skill right now 250 without any merits. Before you can get the actuall CS from NPC in Kazham, you need to be level 71+ and dagger skill @ 230 to obtain the trial quest from NPC Jakoh Wahcondalo. The name of this dagger trial is, Cloak and Dagger.

Here what I done so far.

1. I had some unfinshed quest that I neede to finish before I could trigger this dagger CS from Jakoh Wahcondalo. And regarding the quests I just finished they are called,
A Question of Taste & Everyone's Grudging.

If everyone google a quest A Question of Taste and read up on it, it shws that this quest has 2 different parts regarding this paining that you take to the Temple of Uggalepih. (But if I understand this correctly, I only need to finish the first part of this quest to be able to obtain the Dagger trial from NPC. But this was still no go XXX.

2. And I was looking closer on my quest logs, and found out I was missing a few steps on the quest called Everyone's Grudging. So I went back to the Temple of Uggalepih, hang up the 4 lanters and lid the rancor flames. Popped the Bomb boss, killed it, and warped back to kazam, for now hope I got the dagger quest. And even this time, no go XXX for getting the dagger quest.

3. So at this point after many hrs back and forth I spoke to a GM on Fenrir server.

4. here is what I'm not sure, if the guid I found is incompleat, and you really need to finish both quest in the A Question of Taste, or can you as the guide says, only do 1st part of the 2 quest, and that should be enough to trigger the new CS for my dagger?

6. To awnser more questions, NO I do NOT have any other weaponskill quests active. This is the frist time I ever encountered such tings ingame. I have re-check and again again and again so I wouldent be missing anything. (Unless I need the last part in the quest called A Question of Taste. But besides this, I checked my things so many times, zoned alot in hope to trigger it, and finally and last "Check Filed FFXI files suggested by the GM" And pictures speaks for it self no problem found.

7. So what shall I don now, please advice and suggestions, I really wanna get this and start my dagger trial. Thanks for reading my OP.

Have you checked your fame? If you have completed everything else that you have spoken of associated with the quest, Fame is the only thing left to be checked that I can see.

However this would be very helpful, this is not the case when it comes to trigger this WS CS in Kazham. Weapon trials regardless is not based on "fame", even tough I'm max fame in Windurst, wich also are my home nation rank 10. As I see this only requierment there is are level 71+, 230+ dagger skills. And again my daggerskills atm is 250 without merits. And in my case I had a few quest wich was still active, wich eems to block me from trigger the right CS for the dagger trial.

I will try and compleat the entier quest for the first one I made only part 1, to see if this is the problem. I have doubble/tripple checked, I have none other normal WS trials active.

And if this dosen't work I must say I'm cluless, so mabey history to be the only THF in Vana'diel with out Evisceration WS :P I finish the CS see what happends and report back if positive or still negative.

Talk several times to the NPC. That usually solves problems with multiple quests on one NPC.

Also.. judging from your walmart gear on FFXIAH, you steamed right through 30>90 in abyssea as a leech, yes? Did you bother to do your AF weapon quest? Or on any one of the other jobs you got (RDM, BRD, NIN) capable of unlocking the WS?



And if this dosen't work I must say I'm cluless, so mabey history to be the only THF in Vana'diel with out Evisceration WS :P
Nah, more then likely, you are one of many that assumed their case was unique and not in any way caused by your own (lack of) actions leading up to the problem. Those WS guides were written in a time when it was inconceivable for someone to level 30 to 90 in a single 10 hour session in abyssea, so they don't cover the major content evasion situations arising from it.

Yeah I know I been in this game for almost 7 years. I ahven't done a weapon trial in ages, thats why I know I don't have any active.

And from my walmart gear, that's not nice to say. And even if I did abyssea my THF true, but I was allready capped on everything as far I could take dagger on BRD, and evasion from having my nin.
So don't give me such crap. Remember one thing, not all players can play FFXI 24/7 and obtain AF3 seals, accessories, as it hangs on a christmas tree, because we have real jobs and an entier family to support and takeing care of.
So if I where you, I'd keep my mouth shut, unless its really for helping others with useful information. This OP had nothing to do with my so called "Walmart" gear as you fine call it. And regarding my other jobs, not all my job is abyssea leeched for your information, and yes, my jobs are capped in allway's you can think off, so spare me your BS. Why do you even bother posting som helping info, when all you can do is critics. .... Just because you "mabey" you call yourself an "Elitest" player dosen't mean you are one, far from it. That is probably your own idea that you seem to be all that. I have seen new players be better at there jobs, then a so called "veteran" player is who do alot off endgame, and who has it all. Don't give jack for this. And to be honest here sir, you shoulden't talk, even tough I like PUP, before you cast with stones inside a glass house, remember to take a look on your own you first.

This ain't a contest who has what, and who can get the most item/gear. This is a game where you enjoy playing, beeing with others and still keep evolving and learning after 7 years. The day you call yourself an elitest and you "think" you know everything, why in god earth are you playing FFXI for.

But from this beeing said, people let me make one thing very clear here, if you are full of BS, and all that, and all you can do is critis, then I don't need, nore I want your help. This is about respecting other people/players, but I guess you forgotten that from beening a child and growing up, that your family treated/learned you what "Respect" are/is. And if you don't know it now, you never will.

So short awnser is I don't have any other WS training guide active. Or atleast not what I seen, I was going true the quests I have in hope mabey I missed something but :(

Of courtesy and helpful tings, of course I'm rank 9 in fame for Windurst.

I just finished the 2nd half in the quest called A Question of Taste, went back to the mithra, zoned out of Kazham, went back to the npc Jakoh Wahcondalo. And WS CS trigger, now I got the trials for Dagger. What causes this, well not easy to say, sense most player I spoken to during the 12hrs said I only need finish the first part of this quest done., and also alot of guides I have been reading upon regarding this says the same things. However what really triggerd this is hard to say, hard when none concret facts on the table. But now I got it :) and my biggest respect and thank you for your understandning and helping efforts to try and solve this for me. Thank you!

Thanks for asking to make sure. Well awnser is no, I got the quest triggered roughly 30 mins ago after I compleated 2nd part in the quest " A Question of Taste" So have to assume this is still needed even to many says only need part 1. But either way this resolved my issue. Huge thank you for all help I've got to resolve this.
