PLEASE HELP ME,

I GET DISCONNECTED FROM FFXI AND WHEN I TRY TO GET BACK ONLINE, IT SAYS I DONT HAVE ANY CONTENT IDS!!!!!!! WTF IS GOING ON??!?!?!?!?!!


PLEASE HELP ME :(

They are doing major maint to the reg server atm, I'm guessing they borked it.

SE needs to have some common sense when things like this happens, they need to use their friggin forums and post something ............. get off your butts and post somethign about this SE!!!!

oh great ... i hope they can fix this ... soon. kinda ruins the weekend so far.

and of course this sorta thing happens on the weekend, and you cant get a hold of a GM, cause SE doesnt have "support" on the weekend, but they can srew up like this no problem.

That has happened to me every 1st or 2nd of the month for 6 str8 billing cycles. I had used the same card since 04', and I play on console so it made no sense. I changed cards, did everything that was asked of me by the SE reps I spoke with over and over and.. you get the idea ^^ Still didn't help. Basically it boiled down to SE wasn't charging my bank for w/e reason. No one I spoke with has ever been able to explain it. Just seems to be happening randomly. Although for some reason I have not had this issue this billing cycle. Please say it's over for me :) My guess is this new verified payment stuff coming soon is in response to this problem that has been plaguing us.

PS: Don't freak tho. I know the first few times it happened to me it was an awful feeling. It's just an administration screw up tho. Your account is not in danger as far as I know. Also you can just go, and update your payment info, and it will let you reactivate your content ID's.

lol yea im freaking out, and i've paid every month never missed a payment, it comes off my credit card, so there is no chance of me missing a payment. i dont get why ppl that pay on time everymonth since they started playing this game gets screwed over like this.

This is more then that, there are lots of reports coming of people being kicked out of the game and can't log back on. I was on yesterday, the 1st, after we were billed, so its not that. SE are just idiots that hardly do anything right. And you wonder why as a company they are starting to suffer.

Over the 6 billing cycles I got booted on sometimes it was the 1st of the month sometimes was 2nd or 3rd. It depended on whether or not it fell on a weekday or a weekend. Nah they never charged me a reactivation fee.

It happened to me also which is strange since my message tracker for my account payments says SE charged me for this month. OKKKKKKKKKKKK!

I have experienced the same issue. Main account and four of five of my mules have had their content ID deactivated. This is the first mess-up I've had billing/account-wise all of my about 7.5 years, but it is still extremely worrisome. I really hope Zaknafein is correct about the "no fees" aspect and also that I can even re-activate given that my CC is not VBV 3Dsecure or w/e. I had to phone it in when changing.

The thing that concerns me the most is what's going to happen when we are required to change to an SE account and forced to buy Crysta from ClickandBuy or use Paypal to purchase it to continue to be able to play. I have never once had any problems in 5 years of playing, and I am going to refuse to change my payment method, so I guess my days are numbered, but that's fine with me.

I only have one Content ID and it says I don't have any at all. Character deleted? I already recovered once and they said they would never do it again (account was hijacked).

Due to some technical difficulties involving our payment processing partner during the monthly registration server maintenance that took place from Jul. 2, 2011 00:00 to 08:30 (PDT), we have confirmed that a number of users have had their Content IDs cancelled erroneously. Regretfully, because our payment processing partner has already processed these accounts, we are having some difficulty undoing these cancellations at the moment.

In the mean time, if your account has been erroneously cancelled, we ask that you please perform a Content ID reactivation from your PlayOnline Viewer.

We deeply apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.

You have to goto the payment details and re-enter your CC info, including going through Verified stuff. Once you do that it will let you re-activate, until you enter the new details it won't accept it.

This didn't work for me. I had to upgrade my MasterCard with SecureCode, but it has issues conflicting with my old address/new address so I'll just have to wait this out. I am not going to reactivate services an an exorbitant fee. XI is not that important to be paying so much for no reason.

1. They fucking do this on a weekend when they have no support.
2. They randomly cancel complete accounts.
3. They expect ME TO FIX THEIR FUCKUP AND CHARGE ME FOR IT?

I don't think so SE!

This is probably the most ridiculous thing i have ever encountered with a company.

Why do i even ahve to go through this. I have a valid Credit Card on record for 8 or 9 years. Never have i failed to pay once.

Why do i have to update my payment info now to re-activate my content id's that THEY deleted?

I got it done fine, I had to load POL directly from files so it wouldn't crash though. I'm a little concerned about the reactivation fee though. I don't wanna have to pay it if I don't have to. Since... I WAS playing just yesterday. :\

ya. both my accounts come off my same card. my main character cant log in. but my other character i use can log in. i just talked with a GM. says to contact the support center. its the weekend as far as i know the support center is closed? at least teh GM said that one to after i asked him if it was closed on weekends. so basically we either have to wait for the reactivation maint. to be completed. or we r just screwed out of a month and have to pay again. which i can see happening. i woudlnt put it past them. been playing since 02. this is the only time its ever happend. it has happend 2-3 other times but a failure on my part to change CC #'s. so i didnt mess it up for u guys :)

They won't fix this, you will wait for nothing. You either have to re-enter your CC infor from fresh and re-activate or never play again. They really won't fix it for thier customers even though it was their fault :(

@rune. they should fix it since we have already paid for the servies. should being the key word. its just the hassel of everything we have to go through because someone messed up and is able to keep their job.

Yeah they totally expect you to renter the info no way around that. Also in 6 consecutive times happening to me I never got charged a reactivation fee. It showed up for a couple days, but was gone by the time the $$$ was withdrawn.

im almost tempted to wait out the reactivation time which is going to be after mdnight toinght. i was online when i went to work this morning. come home and im offline and get that whole little u have no content id...bullcrap i paid for the service i expect to be online to the fullest potential i can. and the issue is, they took my money and they r failing to give me the service i paid for.

Eh, no need to really get mad. I've had a hell of a run with XI and now that I have a career, it may be time to just move on to other things that don't require much time.

There are reactivation fees. My credit card charges me $1 every time I need to use that f'ked up 3D secure bullshit. So I have to pay to reactivate my account, then again to update CC info. If SE wasn't such a fail company they wouldn't be reporting huge revenue deficit's. And I thought Japan was supposed to be business smart?

Most are, Square are the exception I guess, it used to be that they made good games and the rest was meh. Now they make bad games and the rest is still meh. They are lucky the old reliable XI is still their biggest online cash cow, if they had to rely on anything they made recently they would be in really serious trouble. Oh wait they are anyway.

The horrible state the way this company treats it's players is one of the main reasons I will steer clear of FFXIV, I'm into XI so I have to put up with them. I won't make that mistake again.
