The crafting system hasn't really changed at all in a very very very very very long time, with the sole exception of the addition of Synergy.
Are there ever going to be plans to lift some of the harsh restrictions on the highest ranks of crafting?
Currently, skilling up any craft past 60 is a brutal chore, requiring one hell of a lot of both time and gil, and every 10 ranks, skillup rates are roughly halved again, making the highest levels plain excruciating.
With crafting being less and less useful now, are there any plans to do any of the following:
1. Increase the number of levels past 60 a character is permitted
2. Increase the hard skill cap past 100
3. Increase the terribly poor rate of skillup past 60
I'm really just curious more than anything, but keep in mind, MOST other in-game activities have become easier in some form or another, yet crafting is the same slow and painful process it's always been, if not worse because some of the higher-ranked crafting materials came from sources people don't DO anymore, rendering them unbelievably scarce.
And no, I don't want everything in this game to become trivial and laughably easy. Abyssea was a great idea to give people a breather from this game's usual grind and ease people through the transition beyond level 75. Me posting this doesn't mean I think everyone should be able to get a craft to 100 with minimal effort. I just feel that right now, the level of effort required is radically disproportionate to the reward, especially when compared to many many other aspects of the current game.
