1- I think people will enjoy the ingame " No Sound " option in Config -> Gameplay

Could make the game run better do to some bigger amount of free resources no?
2- PC User could really enjoy any kind of option to let them use a Single CPU !

It's funny how this game, main program 2001?, can run better on a Celeron/Win98
than a i7/Win7. That "false step" effect we get isnt lag!
No really need for an Option ( maybe OffGame into Pol or FFXI option section )
    just optimize the code please ;_;
3- Split Foes from Font Color -> For Others
Creating a new sub section: Font Color -> Foes maybe.
4- Active KupoPower mess spam.
I think ther's no need to know which kupopower are active EVERY single time we zone in/out
from every related area, it just give us all lag and deelay the zoning process.
That can be added to /servmes string in example.
Or adding a specific chat filter.

5- Atma pages customization will be welcome by everyone.
6- More keyitem categories ( Zilarth/CoP/Wotg/Abyssea ecc.. )

its much cheaper and easyier to just implant "if windows 7 do this..." then rewrite and whole new code just for windows 7. and i dont know what you but going from xp to vista to windows 7 i think windows 7 plays on the best. it's also a laptop!. my xp is an desktop with p4 maxed memory and deicated hard for FFXI and other games. what i wanna try next is SSD and pol/ffxi. any one tryed it?
besides that some great ideas others are just doesnt seem to be a problem.

The problem isn't windows 7. It's new graphics cards.
About 18 months ago, I got a GeForce GTX 280 which ran the game at around 14fps in most places. Just recently nVidia released new drivers and now I'm running at constant 29.4 fps / max shadows & 2048x2048 background rendering resolution, this includes in Port Jeuno at the Abyssea NPCs and other populated areas.
Most new graphics cards don't support earlier versions of DirectX 8 too well.
As for the stuttering effect, or stepping - you can set the game to run on a single core by using the Affinity settings in the process manager. Right click POL.exe > Set Affinity.
I don't think this will help though.
it just give us all lag and deelay the zoning process.
 No it doesn't.

What i'm asking for its a simple "button" into FFXI option ( off line ), the affinity thing have a "not saving prefer." issue,
dunno if they adjusted that. Im askinfg for that option cause i've experienced the passage from single core cpu/gpu
and multicore ( quad cpu and dual Gpu single pcb - 285 atm ). as many other player reported on various forums : Older PC single CPU = No Stuttering effect , New PC multicore = Stuttering . not sure if thet annoying effect come directly
by single core or multicore cpu , maybe its Win Code , the Drivers Or the FFXI Code .. i just wish they can/will fix it :D
