First Place Conquest: Bastok...

Ok so I've been back in the game for almost 2 months now (8 conquest cycles). It's very rare that Bastok isn't in last place on my server.. which is a bit disheartening because I really want a Republic Aketon eventually. I'm a very patient person but I fear that all the patience in the world isn't going to change the fact that on the best of days, the ammount of Bastokans compared to Wins and Sans is about one hundred less. The one time Bastok came in second was because we owned one more region than Windurst(I think we owned three regions in total). The odds of Bastok ever coming in first again are well.. it's just not going to happen. So basically.. "too bad so sad" is the impression that I'm getting here in regards to attaining any grade A Bastokan-only gear.

Is there a way that we can abolish the 1st 2nd 3rd ranking? Are there any plans to revitalize the Conquest system? It just doesn't seem fair that I'm never going to be able to get a Republic Aketon because of this outdated system.

actuly, iv always wanted it expanded. If regions can be taken over by beastmen, then why are they not included in the tally? They should add them as a 4th.

Sooo I just found out that people can take a more direct initiative in taking over regions. It's called expeditionary forces. Basically you get a few people from your nation to join up, and you run around a region you want to take over looking for beastman flags, then they spawn NMs that you kill. I believe the more flags you find and defeat, the higher your nations strength becomes :)

The only draw back is that you can't take over an allied nation's region (if sandoria is in first, bastok cant take over a windy region, and windy cant take over a bastok region), but both ally nations can do seperate expeditions in the same area at once.

Either way, I feel like I'm being punished because I like Bastok. Guess I'll just have to allign with Sandy like everyone else.

EDIT: there's so much to do in this game, especially for someone new, dedicating a good ammount of my limited time to expeditions is not really something i can do.

1. Exping in beastmen claimed areas /with Signet to raise Bastok influence. You can get double points by exping with an All same nation party.
2. Expeditionary Force runs to influence zones under beastmen control
3. Garrison to retain influence in already held zones
4. Trade junk armour/weapons to the Outpost vendors to increase influence, I used to this when levelling crafts with all the crap I was churning out.

If you're not actively trying to help Bastok get first place, don't complain that the system is broken.

1) There's only so much one person can do
2) Like I said, I don't have endless time to play ~ organizing a group of people to do numerous expeditions is a little overwhelming and kind of unrealistic to ask of a casual player

All in all you have a point. I'm just making excuses, if I want the Republic Aketon badly enough then I'll have to work for it. It's just that citizens of Sandy will never have to work for their 1st place on every server, the conquest system is completely unbalanced (just like everything else in this game lol). And it's silly of SE to expect us to go through so much BS to get first place lol.

A way around this would be for SE to introduce the rank items to a Domi note Guy allowing people to use up the Domi notes for rank items for what ever rank they are.

I remember when Windy did not control the dunes for a year (true story). I didn't have the outpost so what I did was shout in WG and strangely it worked. It seemed like all of Windy united and was in the dunes.

Sadly, back in the day when the game new we used to be in first place pretty often. When you compare Bastok to the other Nations, there isn't anything really magical about it that people would be looking for in a MMO starting town. We are pretty plain, and our moghouse is ugly, but we do have an awesome story.
