With the advent of linking our characters to the forums I thought would neat if the community team and possibly the devs might share some of their characters or play experience. You probably know that it's a common concern of players that the employees don't really play the game. Obviously specific info like server and character name you'd want to keep private but jobs, crafts, gear, etc. Especially interested if the devs ever play on player servers.

They won't because they don't want to get griefed.

Would be cool, except... what JackDaniels said. Griefing and spamming would be a serious issue. I don't think Camate or Bayohne or anyone else wants to constantly get /tells while they're playing the game, saying "hey i made this thread about how to fix (job/WS/relic/mythics/global warming) plz check it and reply"

I think the Employees play officially on the test world if I remember correctly, if they are playing at home they would never have to reveal that to any of us, we would likely just see any character on the test world and would not be able to add them since I'm pretty sure that world does not show in any searches

I've heard that Blizzard employees aren't allowed to tell anyone in-game who they are, else they're forced to change name and move server. I wouldn't be surprised if SE has a system like that. It just invites too much drama for a representative for a game, whether GM, dev, or a PR person, to have their actual characters listed.

I know if I was an employee, I'd absolutely hate to have people sending me /tells saying "OMG UR SO STUPIDDDDDDDDDDDD U SHUD MAKE SAM MOAR PWRFULLLLLLLL."

I'm pretty sure they don't play on the test world. That would just be silly. They're intermingled into the rest of us. They just can't tell us, for obvious reasons.

They may have changed it since my friend worked for their customer service 3 or so years ago but back then they played on live servers if they wanted to play for the sake of playing.
