View Full Version : Multi-hit Weaponskills with Double/Triple/Quadruple Attack

The number of attacks per weaponskill is capped at 8, however a WS like Asuran Fists already has 8 attacks. No amount of DA/TA/QA is going to make a difference there, even though it can trigger.
So I'd like to propose that TP gain ignores this Rule of Eight. If a MNK uses Asuran Fists, lands all 8 hits and procs Double Attack on each main hit, he will gain the equivalent of 10 hits of TP, but only the damage of 8 hits. Assuming 6.0 TP per regular melee hit, the total would be (6.0+6.0+8x1.0) = 20.0 TP instead of (6.0+6.0+6x1.0) = 18.0 TP.

you may only proc double triple quad attacks on the main and sub hands and all hits after the main and sub hand give 1TP
Meannnninggggg you can only double triple quad attack 2 times on h2h and only 1 time unless you are dual wielding
and that would make this say worthless? yeah...

This falls under the category of: Meaningless change that takes more time for the programmers than it is worth.

Just because it only affects a few weaponskills doesn't make it meaningless. It'll only be 1 TP per lost hit (+4TP if Triple Attack procs on both main hits on Asuran Fists), but it can also be implemented as a small Conserve TP effect (1~4 TP) on high hit weaponskills.
Not all changes have to be ground-breaking >_<

4 tp in such extreme cases is not even something that's worthwhile to add ~Its like tactical parry on DRK

Least its not like the olden days when Penta Thrust and Asuran Fists would put you at 100% or near 100% tp after each ws.
