Trial of the Magians: Fistule

Fistule is a great mob concept. Unfortunately whilst doing my trial I have noticed a tendancy for players to pop and hold the Leech NM whilst Guimauve is not up until Fistule repops. This effectively allows a single player or group to monopolise both Fistule and the Leech NM for quite some time because they have no way of competing or aggroing Fistule without either Guimauve or the Leech NM.

I appreciate that this is not an issue for everyone but if you're trying to complete the Fistule stage of the empyrean weapon this is really irritating. Seeing a player sitting there for 1-15 minutes with the leech NM harmlessly bouncing off them (he doesn't do much damage to a level 90, especially not one who is going to take on Fistule) until Fistule repops is depressing.

Anyway this could be improved?

Yeah, leave and come back when he's done. Problem solved. Only one of you is getting fistule anyway. It's better than standing there for 15 mins and then missing the claim on, say, gukumatz. Or stay and pop the leech 30 seconds after it depops.

It's the same as every force popped nm, you're camping the ??? instead of the monster itself.

I thought I read that you can aggro Fistule with any NM. people just use leech and pudding since they are conveniently located. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Haven't tested it myself, but from what I've read it has to be an amorph NM.

Why can't you join party? Don't get me wrong I have no info on either mobs just wondering why 2 people can't help each other out?

Because the only reason to fight it is discharges.

And yeah, it has to be the leech, pudding, or slug.

Leech and custard. The goal is to have someone kill the custard, while you hold the leech. This assures only you will claim. Custard killer goes to pop leech, and hold it after you aggro fistule. Next!

GM them it's against the terms of service to hold a enemy without doing damage to it.

Leech has plenty of hp to do some damage to it while it's held. It uses drain tp moves to cure itself also.

They should add another fistule or 2. Every emp dropping mob now has 3 ??? So naturally they should have 2-3 Fistule up.

Actually farming Fistule/Turul at the same time is great if you have the firepower for it. Also whoever you have doing TE should be doing them on the leeches if possible. Discharges/Lokis/Dark Rings ftw!

I like the idea of how Fistule is handled now and I would be a bit disappointed if the creativity was taken away.

So after reading this thread i decided I was gonna try this nm since I havent done this nm since 1st abby add on. Here is what I concluded.

This nm is agrrivating. Not only do you have mutiple players running around holding a trigger nm waiting on there turn. You have to wait on slow kills. This is the only nm in emperian path that doesnt have mutiple pops for it.

As far as rules go also it is illegal to hold a nm for more than 30 mins. or when is used to harrass or disrupt someoen elses game play. ( I think I worded it right)
So Holding a nm isnt my favorite thing to do and causes "Player Hate"

Remedy : incorperate 3 of the slimes that now eat any nm or any the slimes. Rather than the nms
Change the respawn also to immediate pops the slime part so can be immediatly done not with a 15 min wait.

Reasons: You have incoperated KI's for sobek and other Nm's into a gold chest. I think this was done to stop over monoplizing on a nm. So why is Fistule one the last nm's on a timed pop thats needed for emperian Weapons

Why? It's one of the epic way to claim a mob, and totally cool in my opinion. Why should SE have to sacrifice creativity over a few players being jerks about it?

Not saying its not cool how they kill a nm to pop another it is awsome. Just introduce more of the slimes so u can feed 3 at one and have slimes instantly repop in there non aggro phase. To implement this just have to be able to feed it any nm or anything. Thus elimiating ppl wondering around "holding" mobs for no reason also.

Only nm with out 3 available pops with shady tactics to pop a nm is not necisarrily cool.

Fistule is not camped as heavily as any other timed pop NM for empyrean weapons.

I farm dark rings quite often. Only on a rare occasion do I see people camping Fistule. That or just make multiple ???'s for the leech.

I also aoe in here for dark rings and stuff. I am in a group we rotate 6 nms for emeprian then next sorta deal person and they keep all drops. (low man get er done' kind deal lo)
I still would suggest mutiple ??? for the leach and mutiple slimes( in non agrro form not every 15 min pops). I personaly watched someone hold that leech pop for a hour kiting it ...
Alot people I do stuff with a good 20 plus dont want even touch this nm atm. We get more done on other trials than we do for it and is dicouraging to have to put something want do and help with on for others for due to this reasoning.

Just saying is all ...they implemented changes in the other emperian paths getting stuff out gold chests for KI or mutiple ??? for the nm.... Fistule could use some love also. Be it anything :cool:
