View Full Version : Portable Porter Moogle!

In short, I think the Porter Moogle system would be more useful/used if you didn't have to go to specific areas to access the Porter Moogle.

A simple idea to make them more "portable":
-Make all Storage Slips usable items.
-When used, summons a Porter Moogle in front of you for personal use.

Again, very simple. Steal the scripting from Magian Spectacles.

This would solve not only the problem of requiring to go find a Porter Moogle for gear, but also allow people to remember what pieces they have in storage to begin with!

Better notice this thread Camate, always ignoring me!

You wanna trap a poor moogle in your bag??? the moogles will have thier revenge!!!

All joking aside this would be a good idea imo

The only problem is the amount of storage slips would eat inventory, an item like a Moogle Whistle would work

Well, anyone who's using the Porter Moogles already has the storage slips anyway, this suggestion itself doesn't really cause any more inventory clutter. xD
I would think another added item would be causing clutter, if anything.

Thought they were KIs, if not then your suggestion would be ok, or make em into KIs and make the Moogle Whistle

They're actual items. Currently, you trade the appropriate Storage Slip along with the items you want to store in it to the Porter Moogle, and he'll hold on to the items. You then can trade the Storage Slip to retrieve the items through a very smooth dialogue setup.

Ahhh, i still think it would be best for em to be KIs, borrow the code from normal gear storage, would save room, then they could implement a Whistle or somting, otherwise your suggestion would be best.

making em KIs though would prolly come under PS2 limitations though

Unfortunately the development team currently does not have any plans of introducing a portable Porter Moogle. While this would surely be convenient, it’s not as easy as it seems due to the amount of things that would have to be considered alongside such a feature. I mean, what would happen to that poor moogle if you were all of a sudden attacked by a monster? Think of the moogles!

Yo dawg, we heard you like ports, so we gave your Porter Moogle the ability to port so you can port Porter Moogles to Port Jeuno while you're getting a port.

It would be stored in a special armoured part of your bag to keep its squishy body safe.

While we're at it, give us a portable mog house moogle, base it off the glitchy mog house moogle in Lower Jeuno that randomly appears near the Auction House some times. I clicked it once, could change my job, open safe and locker, and check my delivery box in the middle of town, I didn't actually change jobs, but still.

I did think of the moogles. I would have tossed a juice pack into my baggy for them to sip on. What good is a mog sack if you can't shove a moogle in it?

We used to keep a tinker gnome in a bag of holding with a straw so he could beath.

I think of them every time i`m missing a protein when preparing a meal, Moogles the other other white meat. You have to think of the previous white meat first. I belive this declaration makes moogles the other other other other other other white meat.

I tried to shove a goblin into my gobbiebag. It went predictably.

And I bet in high school, my moogle got shoved into the mog locker often.

The same thing that would happen to the poor Magian Trial Log, I would imagine!
...unless the Porter Moogle happens to be a Moogle Knight.

I would very much love to see Moogle Knights in FFXI. Everybody knows they had the most awesome in the FFTA series. X3

Psshhaw! Lots of tough things to consider is what the Devs do best! "You can DO EET!"

Besides, Moogles are far to crafty and magical to be caught off guard by the standard monsters out there... aren't they? That, and they have wings and junk... and if all else fails, just start spamming "Kupo!!" real loud to paralyze and daze your attackers! :D

Maybe it's because I've been replaying ocarina of time, but the highlighted text made me think of a Navi-esque moogle. -This- (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=42) would be more than reason enough to never want to carry one around.

I would think moogles would not be attacked by monsters. They ARE fellow beastmen afterall ;)

Er, Moogles are beastmen? Since when?

And if you remember from the anniversary event, there was the Moogle in the Ghelsba Outpost that had hired hands because it was afraid of the Lizards. For what it's worth, at any rate.

Yeah, he was prolly one of the wimpier Moogles. Nothing like the bloodthirsty, wooden tooth, battle-ready Porter Moogle sort. ^.~

For starters, they're an intelligent race that resembles animals that are not one of the 5 races of Altana. Ergo, beastman. Also, one of the NPC personalities will ponder about if moogles are beastmen, so even the devs have teased at the possibility. There's basically no reason I can see not to assume that they are beastmen like qiqirn who are accepted in everyday life.

SE worked with Akira Toriyama before, pop the moogle in a capsule corp capsule with a bowl of dog chow (or what ever you moogles eat? chocolate?!) and some water. Case solved and he gets DBZ revenue from the dvds , or better yet the manga!

We like fruit, especially oranges and grapes for adorably sucking the juice out. In a pinch, blood works nicely :)
