Can log in one place but not another?

So I finally installed FFXI for my laptop, and I seem to be having incredible issues with logging in. According to POL, my ID or password is incorrect. The thing is, I tried to log in to my PS2 account with the exact same info, and it was fine. Friend list plus works too.

I got it going long enough yesterday post PS2 log in, to update, but now it's telling me my information is wrong again. I tried technical support, but it was no help. Does anyone have any advice?

If your account is linked to a Square Enix account, check in POL if the POL password isn't set to "Not set", and reenter it there. Your login will fail otherwise.
