Aht Urhgan Tax needs to be removed.

People no longer hang out in Aht Urhgan Whitegate anymore and it has to be because of the dumb taxes. SE needs to removed it. Anyone else agree?

They don't hang out in Aht Urghan because theres no Abyssea NPC there (as far as i remember?)

Taxes never worked at stopping congestion in the past it wouldn't work now.

FFXI is way too heavily PUG content now, it's pretty much impossible to not stand around port jeuno to get stuff done unless you have a shell/friends to do everything with.

Still impossible, Port Jeuno is still the best hub in the game, can get anywhere from there in a matter of seconds to minutes.

Honestly they should have mandatory auto log out every 20 min like WoW has to keep all the afkers from lagging the servers.

I wouldn't say Aht Urhgan Tax should be removed, but should be scaled down to Jeuno levels, and Jeuno levels should be scaled down to home nation levels because there is no point in having different tax levels in different areas for the same function.

Agree with this, the bazzars should be moved to outside or anywhere but not in port. High bazaar tax would be very good i think, ah tax not so much.

If the Chocobo Circuit didn't have tax, it'd be a great place for people to AFK wares while keeping Port Jeuno less crowded.

It does connect to all cities afterall, making it easy for lvl1 mules to go and chill w/gear without having to walk to Jeuno.

I bet if they added Abyssea Porters/Traverser Stone NPCs to Aht Urhgan the place would fill up tax or no tax. Considering the incoming ToAU update fixes, it makes sense for it to happen anyways-- has always been a better hub (not better because of the lag, but in general it's more spacious and links to other zones just as well), just that it's content has been largely outdated. So no tax would work there well.

And speaking of Chocobo Circuit, they should keep tax there, but minimal like 5% or something. Instead, they should link the Circuit to all other cities as it was originally intended (enter from one city and exit to another is what I mean), but only accessible to people that have won a number of races with in that zone... like a prize or something. The lack of an AH in the Circuit will keep the place from being crowded regardless.

Axe the tax, encourage people to AFK there and no matter where the game goes, people will always be able to check bazaars.

It's not a hub zone if it has no AH, really. Also I meant open to the point where you could say... enter from Sandy, and exit in Bastok or Jeuno. You still cannot do that. Also by virtue of being able to enter/exit to whatever city you please, that would encourage people to set up bazaars there (hence some semblance of tax remaining in the zone).

Honestly speaking, if they simply added an AH there, I'd set up my HP there forever regardless, lol.

Maybe you should lower your graphic settings. Max settings aren't recommend for every computer.

it was my understanding the whole point of the taxes in the bazaar was to add a realism to it....this is a realism we don't really need and it inflates the price in your bazaar in the Aht Urhgan areas to unacceptable so I too would like to see them remove the silly tax for bazaar system from the game alltogether

they had the crowd of bazaars outside in rolanberry fields before and nobody really complained too much about it, every one I knew called it a flea market and I liked the idea cause everyone knew it was there, and where to go to look for stuff, the way it is now everyone is scattered with the most people sitting in port jeuno overcrowding the place, having a set place for a flea market type thing would be a great idea and the chocobo circuit seems like as good a place as any for it
