I was thinking of several ideas that concerns a possible "blink II" spell. Rather than simply adding more shadow I'd suggest adding additional effects ala "Enspell II". Primarily, yes a redmage now gets 3-5 shadows with the same 50% chance of absorbing an attack. I would like to argue that once a mob hits the "wrong" target, the shadow "burst" for additional moderate damage(say in the tier II elemental nuke range). Or, say each shadow give a garunteed stun effect.
Or, even stranger how about mixing the idea of regen with blink, that is give small amounts of shadows 2-3, but have shadow regenerate over time to max value while the duration of the blink 2 spell is up?

I'd recommend you start condensing your new ideas into a single thread. Flooding the forum with every idea you have as a new thread really isn't going to garner it any more attention, by us or SE.
On topic. I don't mind the idea of a regenerating "Blink" spell fur a duration. But as far as damage dealt by missing you, no, I don't agree.
To further refine the 'regenerating blink' idea. How about instead of it 'regenerating', having Blink II act as a percentage chance of spell/physical evasion, that starts strong, and degrades over time to a minimum. That way, we can't truely abuse it with Composure, but recasting it occasionally when we need that extra evasion might make it worth being an alternative to shadows when we don't have them available.

If you want to make a new thread for a new idea at least bullet point it. Make it clear what you are addressing and what the parameters of the adjustments are.
I like writing in paragraphs, but i don't like reading them. I can tell you from experience on RDM forums that if you can't clearly communicate your ideas, then other people aren't going to understand them.
I wouldn't really be against getting more shadows from blink based of enhancing skill. The idea of a RDM being a magical blink tanks that blows up on mobs seems far fetched. I would expect to see it on a NIN instead.
Most RDMs have difficulty getting anything besides mage gear. Any specialized role that a RDM takes on after that is long and arduous to build. I will build a tank RDM sometime in the future, but I would not want to see RDMs thinking that they should be tanking unless they have the gear and the know how for it. RDM is heavily dependent on gear to dictate their roll.
If I wanted a tank upgrade to RDM, it would be that we get Reprisal from PLD to go with our shield mastery or an upgrade to the Spike spells we already have.

Most Red Mages don't know what to get besides mage gear, you mean. A lot of Melee gear is easier to get now than it has ever been. Though, fishing for NQ dark pieces is kind of annoying.
