Been trying to break these Knuckles for a few months now. Easily have put in well over 300 WSP without any luck of breaking.
Have had a session of literal 300+ mob killing with at least one Weapon skill done by me on each not including skillchain lvl 2 and 3.
Has anyone else had an issue with this?
Any way I can correct this without restarting the weapon again, please help.

Have you gone back to talk to the quest giver (The Walls of your Mind) Oggbi in Port Bastok?

A coule thing:
Have you been doing thos WS on mobs that directly gave you experience points--ie, not campaign mobs and such. they need to /check EP to IT to work.
If you've been fighting the prober targets, and the latent efffects (the elemental resist bouns and extra HP) have not gone away yet--refresh your gear by changing armor of un equipping the knuckles. If the bonus is no longer given they are broken.
Go back to the NPC and trade the knuckles. You should get one of two responses, one leading to abandoning the trial, the other where you get the Map to the Annals of Truth.

Something I found out with WS quest trials, abyssea NM's do not count for points for the quested WS not sure about Nyzl weapons but would assume so.

Appreciate the suggestions folks, I haven't gone back to check with Oggbi yet but I have tried zoning and re-equiping gear.
I'll let the thread know of any changes. Take care!

So... I went to Port Bastok to talk with the ol' Monk master... Traded him the Knuckles and received the KI to continue the quest... The latent effect never went away and my curiosity never peeked enough to actually investigate the quest giver. /sigh:mad:
Who knows how long ago I could've actually finished the quest and moved on to other weapons but at least now I can, thank you Octaviane and everyone else for the suggestions. Glad to have it over with.:(
