Suggestions for Auto Translate.

Remove:

[Dynamis-Windurst]
[Dynamis-San d'Oria]
[Dynamis-Bastok]
[Dynamis-Jeuno]
[Dynamis-Beaucidine]
[Dynamis-Xarcabard]
[Dynamis-Valkurm]
[Dynamis- Buburimu]
[Dynamis-Qufim]
Dynamis-Tavnazia]

Add:
[Dynamis]
[Abyssea]

-Reason easy enough just to [Dynamis] [Xarcabard] and everyone should understand it, while adding [Abyssea] allows the same for the Abyssea zones. It also frees up 8 auto translate slots for something else.

This could be done for Shadowreign areas as well. Taking advantage of so many zones being reused makes a lot of sense! Good idea!

Doubt that would work.

Dynamis, Abyssea, and Shadowreign areas have the first part last in Japanese (think of it this way, we say Dynamis - Bastok but they say Bastok - Dynamis)

So I don't think that is possible. People will get confused when they shout stuff like that.

I don't know that using auto-translate in this manner would be any more confusing than the normal mishmash of auto-translated communication. I feel that players, no matter what language they speak, would understand that [Dynamis][Bastok] and [Bastok][Dynamis] mean the same thing.

[May][Bee] translate to [5th Month][Insect] in Japanese.

I'm not saying that this is a bad idea, it might actually work, but if they start breaking up translations into simpler words, do you see what I'm saying now?

While a good example, it is fairly obvious that those types of auto-translate statements are not usually intended to cross languages, they are a sometimes clever, sometimes stupid, in-joke adopted by English-speaking players to communicate with each other. Because it is there, people use the Auto-translator to be clever, and it has become so ingrained that some players use it merely to speed up typing to others who speak their language.

I don't think the issue you are raising is any more of a concern than any of a dozen short-hand developments that have been implemented over the years (such as [A] denoting Abyssea, borrowing from Shadowreign's [S]). Even if the use described above translates in a "broken speech" manner, it will not take long for people to figure out a sentence containing both the word "Dynamis" and the word "Bastok" likely means "Dynamis - Bastok." I doubt many people who want to do "Dynamis - Xarcabard" will be saying anything about "Windurst" in their shout - so there is really little room for this kind of confusion.

Edit: Also, can we please have [Can we take turns?], or something like that added?
