I agree totally. Just hit 50 and my group started calling me and 2 others names and being so rude because we wanted to watch the cutscenes in a story dungeon. I was pretty shocked. :\
People hitting 50 in a couple days and never learning how to play.
Elitists expecting everyone to know content they've never done, and never willing to teach.
Old players thinking they know everything just because they played 1.0.
At this point, I'm happy just waiting for FC-mates to progress and avoid duty finder entirely.
Ah the joy of playing in NA server - you get tons of VIP treatment from those elitist who think they are better than everyone else. At the same time, you must try to understand things from their point of view. Stuffs do get hard at level 50s and a lot of newbies aka scrubs are not prepared enough to do some of them. You could make a scrubs party and have at it, enjoy the beating and learn to get better - assuming people won't rage quit after the 10th defeat. Or you can move to Japan server - people tend to be a bit more polite and respectful there. Such a big difference when it comes to attitude - even at lower lvl dungeon. I made a character in Japan server and do not regret it one bit - going to transfer all other characters to Japan server soon lol.
I know the feeling. I got queued for Amdapor Keep. I hit accept and went to get a drink of water. When I returned, moments after the cutscene ended, only the other dps was left. The comment: "Watching cutscene means we're all going to fail and die."
Note: i have yet to beat the dungeon, but know all the fights.
All I ask when new players are in the dungeon, is learn from your mistakes, I am pretty patient if you aren't making the same mistake over and over. If you keep being a retard though, you will hear about it.
Find a helpful FC/LS. That's just how some people play games. It's not your fault, and it's definitely not theirs.
Seriously not trying to be an ass here.... But it's not anybody's job to hold your hand, unless of course you find those who are willing to hold hands.
It sounds like they don't want to try the encounter with random people for the same reason you don't want to try the encounter in a PuG. I don't really see what your complaint is here.
It's a game. A diversion. I don't care how many times you need to wait for new people to watch a cutscene you can wait for them. It's a game. It's not even an athletic competition. I don't know how anyone can feel self-important and elitist because they are really really great at running a dungeon. If your time is so very important that you can't help new people or make allowances for those whose reflexes are a little slower than yours or don't have as much pixel smashing experience as you do then you need to maybe give a little thought and reconsider your priorities.
