Making the Transition

I posted this originally on the New Player section but did not get any responses to this question. So I decided to move it here. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me.

As of right now I currently play FFXI. I plan on making a slow transition from XI to XIV at the start of next month and I wanted to make sure my computer will be ok to run this. I made a few upgrades awhile back but I just want to make sure. Heres the basics I got at the moment. Thank you!

- AMD Phenom™II X6 1055T

- AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5

- 80GB Solid State Disk

- 4GB DDR3/1600MHz

In fact what you have in your computer is better than what I have though mine has its own beastness all on its own =)

Why should'nt I do it? /sigh... its FF... I'v played them all and can not go without playing this one. I just need something new. I'v been rocking Vana'diel for many years and I have met every single goal i'v made. There is nothing left for me to do anymore. I'v completed every mission on all add-ons/expansions. I have SEVERAL 90 jobs that are all well geared. I just need something new. Its just not giving me the satisfaction I use to crave. The game has been put on easy-mode and its just not challenging enough for me anymore.

Thanks for the heads up on the system stuff though, I'm looking forward to exploring, cause I heard walking was the norm at the moment :P

I honestly hope it is nothing like FFXI. I would like a whole new experience. I know that it is similar is some ways but I can't just go off what people say. Best way for me to know is to install and give it a shot. I appreciatte the opinion though . The game has been sitting on my shelf since the release and I can't stare at it any longer lol..
