    Lancer offclass abilities?

Hey all, been playing since beta and stopped shortly after the decline of the game post release, partially due to some rough waters in r/l.

I'm thinking of coming back with some friends now that improvements have been made and more are on the way. Lancer was my original enjoyment before and I think it's the first class that I'll level to cap (new characters, new server).

Being so I have a few questions if you would be so kind...

Have any abilities from other classes arisen as "needed" on lancer currently?

How is lancer viability towards endgame content currently?

What's lancer's gearing focus? Same as the other DD? Dex?

And a bit of a general question, which servers still have high English populations? We were thinking of going to Rabanastre or Lindblum.

    Thanks!

Glad to hear you are coming back. To answer your questions:
No abilites are "needed" for Lancer in particular. But you will find that there are useful abilities if you are playing solo.
Lancer is good for "the theoretical Engame" so far. DD is always a nice addition to any party.
Gearing Focus ='s Proper Rank/Class requirements. Unless you don't mind a large stat penalty.
Not sure how Lindblum is doing, but Rabanastre is still doing great. Some days are slow. But most days are full.
    Hope that helps.

My thanks, you have been extremely helpful. I suppose we'll end up on Rabanastre. Here's to the game hopefully continuing its trend of improvement.

Depends on what you want, I uses Raging Strike II and Hawk's Eyes from ARC (Along with Bowmanship trait) because they are very useful for stacking with Ferocity II in Battle Regimen, where the bonus damage is multiplied even further by the BR effect. Also they don't cost Stamina to use.

Life Surge debuff is somewhat useful for "end-game" as it reduces the enemies' evasion, which reduces the "Evade" you see on enemies when you attack them (Not to be confused with "Miss"). LNC also has some useful Incapacitate moves for NM, and damage output is good.

Probably best equipment for now is the Conquistador Elmo and Darkshell Mail because they give ATK and ACC, which at the moment has more value than +STR/+DEX
