    Targeting

Hi! The new targeting system seems nice however, It created more problems for me than it helped. I always used up and down on my gamepad to cycle through myself and party members. Im always changing the type of things i can target on accident, and causing myself many problems.
My suggestion is, instead of having it so you can only target one type of thing, would it be possible to change it to a filtering system that stays on the UI. So this way you could filter out other players, non battle target monsters, party, all enemies, ect. I know making it accessible from the game pad was the main goal, so I thought of that as well. an example of a way would be hitting the button for the status window, then pushing up or down from there to cycle through the filters and check them on or off.
Thank you for your work on the game and listening to us players SE.

    Feedback/Suggestion that way

Now to discuss stuff, i agree on the whole annoying thing, but it should take a while for human to adapt, we are creatures that adapt, but yea, i dont mind if they can come up with a better solution for this.

This could be 1) because I was so used to the old system with my game pad or 2) I played XI with a game pad, but I liked XI's targeting system better still. It was easy and very fast.

I'd rather fight for my life than live it.

The new targeting system works great with one exception. Because it's bound to the up/down buttons, players can no longer use up/down to cycle through the party list.

Please bind the key for target filtering to something more appropriate, such as the "Select" button on the gamepad, or the "\" key on the keyboard. Repeatedly pushing the button or key will cycle through the various options: All, PC, NPC. We only need those three options.

We can have the previous controls back to it's default; this way, you can still target party members easily with the F1 thru F5 keys (F6 cycles through the rest). And on the gamepad, we can use up/down again to do the same as the F6 key.

Also, as mentioned in another post, it allows you to change target type while you are in combat with the Hotbar displayed.

Looks like us mages were the ones that got affected by this the most, cause now I cant use up/down on gamepad to cycle through party to cure them, and using left and right, is first random order based on screen and second doesn't target everyone specially people behind you *cough* archers *cough*. That up/down target selection was the only thing I liked on gamepad better than on keyboard/mouse. I guess gives us an option in the Config app to set this?
