My question is simply the title. I have noticed that archers can stack their arrows to 999, so I think fishers should be able to stack bait to the same. For me it would be nice to free up some of my already cramped space in both my and my retainers inventory.

Yes it should. Just based on comparing a pile of 999 arrows vs 999 bait which would be a fraction of the size in most cases. Bait should be stacking that high as well IMO.

I think this would help both the selling of, and use of bait quite a lot ^^b prices may drop since it'll be easier to have more bait available on the market... but personally, and as a CUL, I'm fine with that. Bait already seems to be pretty cheap on our server anywho
At any rate it should help bait compete with a stack of 99 lures as the preferred grinding pouch item

I dont think its as necessary but it would still be nice. You don't go through 100 bait in one leve like archers would arrows on a leve. Now if you lost bait every time you lost a fish or didnt get a bite, then I would say yes.

You do lose bait if you lose a fish past the first jig, and I seldom lose a fish otherwise.
Agreed, though, that we don't go through bait quite as quickly as archers go through arrows. We do go through bait much more quickly than we go through lures, however, so it makes sense for them to stack higher.(0)

Seems like complete overkill. I can't imagine myself ever needing to carry about 999 of a bait, 99 is a lot all by itself.
