About me:
I'm a 22 year old English PhD student. That parts vital as it means I can't commit to a hardcore raiding guild - I'm often going to be too busy to come on for a few days. ATM I've got a 50 WHM and am working on a SMN/SCH - currently at 30. For now I intend on maining WHM, but that might change depending on what I make of SCH at 50.
Past MMO experience:
-Guild Wars 1 for around four years (2006-2009): This is where most of my MMO experience is. I did basically all of the PvE stuff here, but was mostly a PvPer. Played mostly monk (the "healer" class) for a top 50 GvG guild for a year or so, but also played warrior (melee DPS) and elementalists (caster support, debuffs and stuff) occasionally at a similar level. Stopped playing when the balance went downhill.
-Warhammer Online for a few months after release (2009?): didn't really do any endgame stuff here (I can't actually remember if there was anything particularly big), again mostly focused on PvP. Had a max level healing class, no idea what it was called. Quit because the balance was dreadful.
-LOTRO for a few months a couple of years ago: played as a rune keeper, did a few raids, but never really found a decent guild.
-Guild Wars 2 for a couple of months last summer: did a bit of fractals and some PvP, but the game got boring fairly quickly for me.
What I'm looking for:
I'd like a reasonably competent FC that's looking to do endgame content, although I don't want anything too hardcore, and particularly don't want a FC that requires me to come on x times/week at a certain time without fail - that's basically not possible for me. I'll be interested in trying out PvP once it's released, but it's not a major thing for me. An older community (ideally 18+) is a plus for me. I'd also like to avoid anything super serious; most of all I'd like to have fun.
I'd planned on simply waiting until a FC I liked the look of turned up, but a few runs recently have made me lose patience with PUGs for the endgame content, so let's see what turns up!
