Unable to pass beyond Chief Serpent Sargeant rank in the Grand Company progression

Thread Title:
Completed Rank two of the Serpent Hunting Log. Completed the Level 44 Quest given by Vorsaile Heuloix (Dzemael Darkhold). I received the promotion. However when i attempt to apply for my next promotion, the Serpent Personnel Officer tells me that i must complete my rank 2 hunting log and comply with the request of the commander and that I have not completed the commander's request. I go back to the commander and he has nothing for me other than idle chit chat.

Steps:
I accepted the quest from Vorsaile Heuloix entitled "Shadows Uncast"(Twin Adder) Lvl44. My party entered the dungeon and completed it. We all returned to our respective Grand Company Commanders to turn in the quest. Vorsaile accepted the quest completion. I then returned to the Serpent Personnel Officer and applied for my promotion. He granted my promotion to Chief Serpent Sargeant, including the cut scene. I then spoke with him again and chose the option "Apply for a promotion" again to see what the requirements for my next promotion would be. His response is as follows: "In order to receive your next promotion, not only must you complete a trial, but you are also required to achieve rank 2 in the Grand Company objectives of your hunting log." <Enter> "Alas, it would seem you have yet to meet the commander's satisfaction. Might I suggest you seek him out to receive your trial?" After that dialogue, i return to Vorsaile Heuloix, who does not a new quest available and offers only the following idle chit chat: "Each Grand Company has its own words--the core tenet which guides its every endeavor. "Wood's Will Be Done" is ours, and by them we discharge our duty." <Enter> "Whether you belong to an organization or fancy yourself a lone wolf, we all need principles to live by."

This where we all become stuck (those who were in my party and seemingly others that have posted in these forums).

You have to run Ampador Keep which is unlocked at Level 50, after completing your storyline. The quest can be picked up off of Vesper Bay after completing Aurium Vale and the Story Mode, or being Flame Sergeant and then you would be able to pick up the quest from the Commander after completing the story line.

Why is there no reference to that from any NPC at the Serpent HQ? The quest line just dies... I do appreciate the information though! I wish that there was at least a locked quest over his head or something to that effect.
