[PS3] 2nd skill bar with pet class

I'm maining ACN and Im at level 36 about to be 37 so I'm at that point where a 2nd skill bar is nescessary but I can't get one where I can R1 toggle to it because when I have a pet out it only does whatever bar I'm on plus the pet bar. Can anyone explain how I can force the game to let me cycle 2 skill bars or not cycle the pet bar since I barely use it anyway or something?

If you press R1 and hold it it will show you the directional and the buttons, each combination assigns to one new hotkey bar, we have a total of 8 bars. So, for example, if you want to access the bar number 3, you have to press R1+the button assigned to that numbered bar.
