For the record, this is incorrect:
" You want to be able to interrupt Eruption at all costs and although it is off the GCD it isn't castable while your character is doing an animation."
PLD stun is not off the GCD, don't know about anyone else but that should be noted.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
Shield bash most certainly is off GCD, unless i'm missing something? For the record, this is incorrect:

Shield Bash is on GCD. Spirits Within is not on GCD. Brutal Swing is not on GCD for WAR, but it has a 30sec CD. That's why PLDs usually stun the Eruptions. It's just stupid that usually in DF people want the PLD on Stun Duty and nothing else. I can MT Ifrit just fine and Stun all the Eruptions by myself. All it takes is knowing his pattern, you can easily tell when Eruptions is coming and just stop using your other skills for a few sec to have your GCD ready for Eruption.
@Guide: BLM or SMN is not a must. It's the easy way of killing the nails, but it's perfectly fine doing it without any Caster DDs.
And your picture on the Garuda fight is incorrect. It's 3 Tornados in a triangular shape and the one in the middle. And your positioning makes things unneccesarrily harder. If the Tank runs straight south after the Reckoning and keeps Garuda there, 1 Healer and the off tank go to the north west, the rest goes north east. The off tank keeps whatever add spawns north west and is kept alive by the Healer withhim, while the other Healer plus all of the DDs focus down the add North East. Both healer stay in range for the MT in the south. That way you make sure you minimize AoE dmg on the party and it makes the fight a whole lot easier. Once both adds die, you meet up in the south and start the rotating phase, then the part where you are in the middle. After that its spreading south, north west and north east again.

hello,
i tried ifrit hard yesterday but the party got wiped because we didn't kill the nails fast enough
i was appointed to unleash the LB to one of the nails (we have no BLM) and my LB did 12k damage and the nails died instantly
however, we hardly killed the rest of the nails, in fact it was 2 nails left before ifrit unleash his hellfire
we got wiped, then the party disbanded
so, is there any attack power requirement for DPS to do ifrit hard?
is my damage too low (12k damage on level 3 LB) to do this duty?
i'm a fresh 50 using AF gears and HQ crafted weapon and accessories
i've already did wanderer palace and amdapor keep

Ppl need to focus on killing one nail at a time to get all the debuffs that help others aswell if there it no blm or smn.
