We need more ways to make gold in this game.

So far at 50 there are very few ways to generate gil.
    3000gil/day from Leves.
    <100gil per FATE
1400gil per dungeon run (per group, not per person)
    This is not sustainable.

Repairs from a dungeon cost between 2k-5k per run (for the entire group)
The AH takes 5% out of the economy

You will lose money doing dungeons
You will lose money going out to grind
You will break even or small gain doing FATEs
You will earn limited money from Leves.

The way the game is currently setup there is simply not enough ways to generate money into the economy. Unless this is fixed the game economy will collapse.

PS. The Auction House is not a valid way to "make money" It as a whole is a gil sink and will take money out of the economy while shifting money between players.

What you're saying isn't wrong but what you're predicting is.

You're blind to the crafting/gathering classes. And obviously you're not going to be rich instantly, especially if you're only trying to make money using battle content. You should sell your allagan currency if you're that desperate.

Crafting/gathering classes don't generate money. ANYTHING SOLD ON THE AH TAKES MONEY OUT OF THE ECONOMY.

I'm not trying to "get rich instantly", just talking about maintaining the amount of gold in the economy. There are currently not enough renewable ways to generate gil, and once quests start running out for everyone the economy is going to go into hyper deflation.

You're going to have to explain how anything sold on the auction house takes money out of the economy. That doesn't make any sense.

Money comes in every time someone NPCs an allagan piece.

I think the economy is fine.

Selling something on the auction house does not actually generate any gil into the economy. Gil is transferred from one player to another. In addition, the auction house takes a fee which is usually a percentage cut of the transaction. On the whole, gil is actually lost from the economy in the process of a transaction.

What OP is describing is the fact that there are a vast number of large gil sinks on the game but, after drying up all of your sidequests, only a very small amount of actual gil acquisition opportunities. Sure, you can take other people's gil, but as a whole the amount of gil entering the economy for a single character seems to be smaller than the amount of gil that is required in daily maintenance of a level 50 battle character.

I know I'm fairly new, but uhh, why can't you repair your own gear at 50?

    That shouldn't cost much.

Your statement of 2-5k in repairs per run, per dungeon, is blatant misinformation. 500 gil would be more accurate assuming, say, one wipe and blue gear.

That said, you're quite right. As of now the currently that is provided by the game in the form of dungeon rewards on the way to 50 seems to be the VAST majority of cash that'll be changing hands, with only a small new trickle coming in.

Yeah, most of the Gil currently in circulation comes from players questing / Fating to 50.

Quests that only one Class can do.

    Lazy quick fix:
Make gear unbreakable (Temp)> Raise the leve cap (Temp) > Allow more monsters to drop small amounts of gold(Maybe..)> allow more gold to flood into the economy > add good min/max level recipes for armor/food > More people pickup crafting > Materials for the recipes cannot be bought from NPCs > Farmers farm mats for Crafters > Crafters synthesize gear for Farmers > Simba sees Mufasa's face in the clouds

It requires dark matter 3 which costs 350 gil per peice to repair. Its more expensive than vendor repairs.
