    13001 Error

I've been able to play FFXIV just fine for the past few weeks, until a couple nights ago. I can log into my account from the client, but then when I click start on the title screen, it goes to the "Now Loading..." screen to get to my characters. Then it gets stuck and I get this message.

13001 The lobby server connection has encountered an error.
    Error Code: 0
    Status: 0
    TIMEOUT

I decided to wait a bit, but everytime I tried to log in since then the same thing happens. So I'm not really sure what I should do. :/

Three days ago it happened to me the same thing happens to you now. I had to uninstall the antivirus program and disable the Windows Firewall to play normally. I did and the game works perfectly. And not yet re-enable the firewall, I mean I do not know if when you do let me keep playing or not. But being off work for at least xD

I'm in the same boat. I just upgraded from Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 (which has never been an issue for me with FFXIV) to 2012 earlier this week (around the time of patch), and now have had the same issues today.

Earlier wasn't even able to get the login details screen.

Have just uninstalled Kaspersky completely, and am now able to get to the "start" button that should load to character selection screen, but after a few seconds of black (with the tiny "loading" icon in the corner), it goes to:

13001 The lobby server connection has encountered an error.
    Error Code: 0
    Status: 0
    TIMEOUT

I have turned off Windows Firewall completely (normally it is off, so can only think that the Kaspersky upgrade turned it on) and am just re-starting now. Will keep you updated.
