Lag on PS3

The lag on the ps3 can be annoying at times, it can be from 2-30 secs, even with the best internet connection. All of the people i speak with that are on the ps3 are having the same problem. It is not really far to people on the ps3 because pc users can see enemies before we do. And later down the road with raiding, that lag could wipe groups over and over. Anyone else on a ps3 agree?

I've had marginal success curtailing the lag by disabling certain animations and features in the Character Settings section of the UI. I turned of all animations that weren't my own, disabled all names unless targeted (except NPCs), disabled all pet, companion and minion names period and made it so their health bars only show when targeted. I think I've done a couple other things, but I'd have to check when I get home. In any case, it helps a little bit. Does it fix it? No, but it might help curb the insanity.

Have you ever played DCUO? On DCUO a lot of things would seem laggy and not run smoothly, things wouldn't load up, etc... It's actually an issue with the performance of the HDD in the PS3 and the lack of RAM, causing graphical lag and things not to load smoothly. I know this isn't a fix or a solution you'd like to hear, but the PS4 will definitely have an impact for the better on such issues.

But they do need to fix this as this makes the game unbalanced. Thus making it harder for a ps3 player to enjoy all the features of the game. Hopefully enough ps3 users will say something and SE might do something about it.

I have not had any problems with lag at all on the ps3... I run a 30 down 5 up connection though with 80% signal strength, it could be the server that you are on may be the reason for the lag im on leviathan and not having any problems...

I pretty much miss FATE's because of this horrible lag.
People be fighting but nothing loads for me.

I'm on the PS3 at times and I havn't had any huge issues that are noticeable. I'm on Excalibur.
